Tried to rent a studio apartment here. They told me that I could rent month to month with a move out notice of 30 days. The lease they sent me required that I give them 60 days notice which legally would have held me responsible for an additional months rent as I was only looking for a place for one month while I buy a new house. I asked them to change it to 30 days and they refused stating they would give me a verbal assurance that I could give 30 day notice but refused to change the contract. I refused to sign the document because I would have been on the hook for an additional time $1000 in rent so they kept my eye $150 bucks that I reserved the apartment with. They really need some business 101 courses. Do not give them your money!

This place was insane. I would not recommend anyone to live here at all. I understand they just got bought out; however, they didn’t have to shut off the water everyday. Literally, I would wake up and I couldn’t use the bathroom or shower for work. Not to mention they constantly turned the AC off, too (during the summer I might add). I also found mold in the AC vent as well. The worst part was we didn’t find out until after we moved out. So we had mold blowing out everywhere without our knowledge. The worst part of this experience was the roach infestation. HOLY COW it was the worst infestation I have ever encountered. We constantly notified the manager and they k my came out once to set up bait traps. We had to have spent over $200 alone on roach spray and we sprayed every week (sometimes twice a week) and constantly kept a clean upkeep and nothing worked. We finally have up around 8 months and when it was time, we hightailed out of there without looking back. When I was cleaning the living room out, there were five nests total I found. I didn’t know what to say. I’m still furious about it. We had to throw out half our personal stuff to get new ones.

I'm sick of these apartments, everything was fine and perfect until recently. Someone bought the apartments and they have a new owner. From that day everything changed. The hot water is cut off every day, I don't know what time of day they put it back on. you are bathing and suddenly they cut it, you have to finish bathing with very cold water. sometimes the power goes out especially when it rains, when it rains you know the power is going to go out. The kitchen sink is covered, the bathtub is covered, the sink that is next to the bathroom is covered, the toilet water is always flushing and the noise is unbearable. I called the office so that they could come fix them and they came about 4 days later, I called and my wife had to call them again because they were not going to check it. They came to fix it and the same thing kept happening. The pool before was always super clean, every day they cleaned it until I thought it didn't get dirty but now I even have to go to the pool in the other building because it is dirty sometimes. Everything was fine before. and now the new owner raised the rent price almost 200 dollars more, I already want to leave here! in two months my contract will end and I will go to another department

Update: Jan 2021, they have taken care of the previous issue with pests. So far so good. We even extended our lease for 6 months. Jose in the office is really great! Update: Infested with roaches and bed bugs. Ive lived here since 2019 and never had an issue up until recently. I've complained and sent photos of the bugs to the complex. I moved in a little less than a year ago. I have seen these apartments greatly improve. The office staff is so willing to help and handle any concerns. I can see myself living here for a very long time. I am just about to renew my lease and I’m so excited to see all the new improvements they have in store for us.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews. Is the new management doing anything about the mold and insect problem and is this a safe place to have a newborn? Also, do they have a history of charging more for rent than they say they are going to?

The new management is okay, they've been doing alot of upkeep on the units that become vacant over time from what I've seen, the air conditioning isn't the best, my unit is 85-90° with the air conditioner on full blast so I don't know if it would be the best place for a newborn, and the rent never raises unless you're late on the monthly payment. Over all the apartments are okay and so is the staff running the place, but things could be done to make things more comfortable for the residents

Can someone tell me more about the apartment. I’ve heard bad things but a lot more good things as well. Especially since the new management has taken over

It's just ok especially for what the price is. It hasn't gotten that much better sense Shelton Cook took over. My apartment wasn't cleaned before I moved in, it was gross, mold was on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom. I cleaned it all myself after I had moved in. Had some roaches still as well. It all depends on what you're looking for and how nice of a place you want. Cheers!:)
