This place is the best park in Tucson. Great for meeting friends, date night, taking the kids out to play. Lots of parking with paved paths throughout the whole park. A lot of history and bird watching to happen here. Bring a picnic 🧺 and hang out for the day.

This is a beautiful park. We enjoyed our morning watching the ducks, Lots of benches. An oasis in the desert.

The California Palms are gorgeous, three ponds there and I always see wildlife such as ducks, birds (green heron and white egret), turtle's. Better in the spring time to see turtle's and blooming cactus.

Beautiful looking park. Saw lots of wedding and sweet 16 photo ops here. Great for a bit of walking with beautiful views of mountain, water in a desert, and cutest little turtles. Several species of turtles surprised me. I saw red ear slider, a soft shelled loch Ness monster type turtle. Please be nice to them and follow signs of not feeding the wild life. There's plenty of bugs and fish in there to keep them happy.

I'm sure you can, but I dont think you can let balloons go. They had a sign posted about no confetti, etc. But it would be a beautiful place to celebrate your daughter's birthday in heaven. Much love to you and your family. ❤
Like most of the parks here in Tucson it closes at night. 😑 It keeps the homeless from homesteading.
I believe the park closes at sunset. It's so pretty at that time. Call Parks and recreation.
As a Local Guide, i would say no. But as a human being I would say don't ride the Sun.Tran buses if you value your life.
Agua caliente park is not a campground. It is a day park and the gates close in the evening
There's only 3 or 4 spaces allocated for bus/RV parking, and as other commenters have mentioned, no overnight.

It turned a stunning turquoise last year as a result of restoration efforts. From the Park's and Rec FAQ: "As part of the Pond 1 restoration project, the soils in the bottom of the pond were mixed with a liquid polymer emulsion (vegetable oil mixture) to reduce water seepage out of the pond and conserve water. After the pond was filled with water, the last coat of the sealing mixture was added to the water to seal the sides. The emulsion is a milky white color and the absorption and reflection of sunlight created the turquoise blue hues several weeks ago. The sealant and the white color have now settled out and the pond water has returned to its natural appearance."
