Clean, well kept campground with a lots of trees and a view of the "Wonderland of Rocks". I was there in mid July and it was a bit hot at 95 during the day. So I waited until 5pm to go up to Madsai Point and hiked Echo Canyon trail. Until we went to bed at 9pm it was still a little hot, but when it passed 2am I needed to grab my sleeping bag for warmth. Next time I would probably stay longer and go during the fall or spring when the weather is more enjoyable.

Beautiful spot, campsites well spaced, great hiking right from the campground with dogs allowed on path to visitor center and Faraway ranch. Water and flush toilets, but no dump facilities, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

We love the place but we could not get our 22 ft travel trailer into a site. This place you have to reserve at least 6 months ahead of time on recreation.gov. The sites are small. More for teardrop, RVs or tanning. A great place to go hiking. Nestle down in a valley with tons of trees.

One of my favorite campgrounds! Deer walk thru the campground, many Mexican jays flying around and no bugs! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms already clean but no showers. Close to your neighbors but still the feeling of being alone in the woods. & A nice, flat 3 mile trail right next to the group site.
