We stayed here a couple months ago when our planned stay at City of Rocks didn't work out due to high winds preventing us from getting our tent set up. The staff were extremely helpful at getting us a last-minute site right before the office closed, and it appears to be well-run and maintained. Overall, the campground itself is a good location if you're taking a short vacation or weekend trip--clean bathrooms and showers, and a playground area for the kids as well. The only negative is that it's located fairly close to a small neighborhood just to the west that seemed to have a lot of barking dogs, but that's a minor nitpick that isn't the fault of the campground itself. Worth checking out if you're staying in the area.

It's hard to describe exactly how wonderful this KOA is! Owners Josh and Mary are some of the best, most down-to-earth people around ... the campground is impeccable, the accommodations are great, and the early mornings are so beautifully peaceful. We were there over the 4th of July weekend -- and as a "non-camper" visiting with a group of friends, it was so much better than I expected. The pool area is clean and comfortable, the shared bathrooms were always clean and well-stocked. More than anything, though, the owners are just good people who work hard and make everyone feel like family. Can't wait to go back and bring more people with us!

Rented a large cabin and really enjoyed my stay there! Would definitely stay here again next time in Silver City. Very friendly and helpful staff for check-in and special delivery I had to set-up. The grounds are clean and well kept. Kids will like the big yellow dump truck for playing.

This is the perfect place to go camping for anyone of any age. They have the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced when camping. Tina especially was always super nice and always willing to help in any way. The tent areas are always super neat and clean along with our own fire pit and sitting area. The most comfortable I’ve ever been when sleeping in a tent. The main office and the bathrooms were clean in all of the 4 nights we stayed. It is also super refreshing since we stayed when it was really cold so showering felt as more as a delight than anything. I would totally recommend this place to everyone who’s even interested in camping.
