Well I do miss the old El Monte Station from 10 years ago and I was happy that they were going to redesign it. When it was finally completed well let's just say that they should of added more features to it. First I wish they added like a little store or a mini coffee shop because why not. The whole going down and then up again to go to the top floor seems like a hassle to do. Then once you're on top there is barely any shade for anyone waiting for the bus. That shade barely covers anyone and the floor is very slippery especially for busses when it rains. Only two restrooms seems like it can take forever just to wait for the person to finish. It's really gotten dirty during the Covid times because I guess their trying to save money on cleaning supplies but still dirty in some spots. Busses are sort of lagging and not following the schedule. Overall it's a good station in the SGV and there's lots of buses to take you through all the SGV and LA. I really wish they designed the station better because this design is bland and needs better improvement.

this place is pretty big and has two levels of bus space even. if you're looking for the silver streak, it's on the upstairs (technically ground level) deck to the left of the stairs and escalators. It's always decently clean and there's enough concrete bench space for everyone

Bus dropped me off upstairs did not go downstairs or inside. Only saw one employee and they were on the phone the whole time. Other riders provided travel info needed to get to my destination. Other riders were accurate and knowledgeable. Would come back and recommend

I live right up the street from there looks like business as usual.
From La Puente you could take buses to get to Los Angeles Union Station or Fullerton Station or San Bernardino Station and catch an Amtrak train called the Southwest Chief. It does go to Flagstaff. I think the train leaves LA around 6pm and gets you to Flagstaff around 4:30am or a little later. Im not sure though, so go to Amtrak .com for details. Maybe Greyhound buses also go there? Check their site for details.

Yes, 176 Rosemead/Montebello mall
No, only buses. I dont know why they didnt make the bus & train stations into ONE station, it's way too confusing to have 2 stations. Anyway, the Metrolink train station is about a mile away. Google El Monte Metrolink & youll find the right station.
