We came during spring break and temps were in the 50-60s during the day. We were there early for snowboard lessons for the kids (like and hour before lessons started) and they said , sure, let’s start now! The instructors was amazing, calm and very good with all age groups. We spent the whole day there and had a blast. The tubing slowed down due to high temps, but they allowed people that paid to come back the next day. We were allowed to leave our things laying around with no fear of it being stolen. I actually lost my beanie for hours and it was in the lessons place. We will definitely come back when it’s colder so we can snowboard the higher runs.

When there's snow and they're open it's awesome! This year was pretty light on snow but we still got in a day of tubing and had a great time. Check with them first as they were adjusting their hours and days open because of snow conditions.

Very nice ski area and staff. Its great that you don't have to drive up a long mountain to get there. Just wish mother nature would allow for more snow and the whole mountain would open.

Been living in Alamogordo for almost 20 years and yesterday was the first time I've visited Ski Cloudcroft. We went up there for lunch on a friend's recommendation. We ate three pizzas and an order of their wings and I have to admit, their pizza and wings are both the best we've ever eaten in Otero County. The personal pan pizzas are the perfect size, small enough to eat in one sitting and not so large they'll bust your gut. The crust comes out of their oven nicely singed crispy by the fire but still just soft enough to fold the slices in half to bite into them. Toppings are decent and properly cooked, although I do wish they would offer fresh tomatoes and basil as toppings. Sauce is good, they use the just-right amount of it. The wings are deep-fried naked, so they are crunchy good, even with your choice of sauce on them. It's a BYOB joint, which is always appreciated, and if you are a summer customer, you can't beat the forest views on the outdoor deck while you're eating.

My crystal ball seems to be on the fritz! Chances are, who knows? We too go every year on the day after Christmas. If there is no snow we ice skate in Cloudcroft. Always a great day. Keep checking the FB page and weather.
We have some snow in the forecast for tomorrow, and will start making snow towards the end of next week. We are looking to open somewhere around December 15-18. Keep up the snow dances!
Ski Cloudcroft has food and beverages. No reservations are required. There is a Snowboard and Ski School with Professional Ski Instructors of America.
Hi Sandra, We made a bunch of snow this week and will have plenty of snow on our beginner slope and tubing hill. Thanks! -Michael
Hey Raul, we will be open 7 days a week from 9AM to 4PM through Presidents Day, then will be open Friday through Monday 9AM to 4PM.
It all depend on the weather. Some years, yes. Other years ,no.
