Grew up skiing here, the prices are relatively affordable compared to other US resorts and the atmosphere is wonderful. I love a good tree run and the occasional powder day is worth it even in late February. Very few to no lines!

Loved this place. Family friendly, staff is service oriented, facility layout makes getting to the slopes very easy.

Stayed at a Goldenwoods Condo for the better part of the first week of 2022. The condo was decent and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Didn't downhill ski this trip but enjoyed the cross county ski trails just below the resort lodging. Also drove up the hill to cross country near Jumbo Reservoir. Looking forward to our next stay.

Great resort with great slopes. Has two lifts one takes you to blues(great to learn on only half the mountain) and the second lift takes you all the way up the mountain to greens and blacks.

It looks like April 4th
No commercial operations for dog sledding on the Grand Mesa, although there are plenty of great places if you have your own dog team and sled.
The website tells you, but off hand I think Sunlight, Purgatory, Cooper...
Yes they do
I would call the resort to ask. I know that you are allowed up the road that heads over the pass to stop at different areas for hiking trails.
Hey Rick! As a lower level powderhorn employee I can't say for certain whether I can affect too much change, But I'll bring it up to the management team and see if we can get it up and running as soon as possible! I understand it's a long drive up here, It would be super beneficial to be able to see the conditions at top before trekking out, hopefully we can get it up and operational before too long! Thanks for your continued patronage and we look forward to seeing you out on the trails!
Depends on the day and if you are riding or not. I always wear 4 layers on top, warm tight pants, snow jacket, beanie and snow pants with boots and smart wool socks!! I ride and work here so just think that it is 25° cooler up here then in town. If you get to warm it's easier to take layers off then to freeze
Hi there! Our 5 yr snowfall average for the combined months of December and January is 85". Conditions are typically colder with good snow. Established runs are skiing great that time of year and the tree skiing, which Powderhorn is known for, is just getting really good. Let us know if you have any other questions!
