On The Rocks Photography - Tucson
I am a wedding photographer and did a wedding up at the ski school/chalet area. Man.. it's beautiful! Gorgeous rolling hills (without snow of course) the views were amazing and the drive...a true experience! I wish I had a driver so I could have been taking in more of the scenery!

Just beautiful, weather is amazing. At around 6:00pm this particular day was 65F Road is very curvy, be careful, watch out for bicycle riders around the curves. There are many places to stop to take photos. Enjoy and be safe - do not litter 😊

We did a day trip from Chandler. The drive from Tucson to the summit was spectacular. The crispy air was refreshing. Families with kids were having fun sleighing. Not a whole lot snow left but still enough to enjoy. Look at my son's big snow ball.

Fantastic place to hike, very little to see in the town though. One convenience store, a few restaurants, and some cabins for rent. The cabins we saw are very close to each other. There's only one LONG and winding road to get to it, but the drive is beautiful :)

Ski valley But There Are Alot Of Other Places Aswell
Yes within a quarter mile or so. Most are taken and some are for rent and what not .
I don't know but you can check the Coronado forestry web site. Any closures will be there.

Typically January is when ski valley opens. It varies yearly. They have had snow as early as November and as late as April.
Yes. But check the status of Catalina Highway before you go. Road could be closed if recently snowed.
It'll be until fall/winter before you can ski. Pretty much 50/50 snow and dirt. Good luck if you try it.
There is only little bit on the mountain in general. Mostly in the top 4-5 miles.. But the ski area has around 10" of snow. They are grooming it but skiing is not open yet.
