It’s unbelievable the extraordinary service that I’ve received from Rutten Law Firm. I contacted two attorneys at the time of my wrongful termination, and Howard was easily the most personable. At that extremely stressful time of upheaval in my life he and his team agreed to help me fight against the harm done against me. They answered all my questions over months of litigation, and encouraged me along the way. Liz in particular was always personable, professional, and responsive, and little did she know, served as a great comfort to me along the way. I am more than happy with the services I received as I won my case via settlement, which was 10 times more than the original offer from the opposing side. Thank you Howard for your expertise and for standing with me!

I am in the legal business and I have dealt with A LOT of attorneys. The Rutten Law Firm was recommended by an attorney I know and I am so glad I found them. There are so many law firm mills out there, churning through clients just to get a settlement. This firm provides personalized attention and does everything they need to win your case. Do not just go with the first firm you come across it could be a big mistake. Howard Rutten is the best!

I would recommend Howard to any person who needed an employment attorney. After working with him for two years, I can say with confidence that he is an intelligent, hard-working, and honest attorney. Howard always fought hard for his clients against any defendant, even those huge corporations.
Level One
I hired the Rutten Law Firm for my wrongful termination case after interviewing a few other firms. Howard and his team showed a level of detail and responsive firms that was unmatched. Howard is a true professional and really cares about his clients. We won the case and I am very satisfied with how things worked out. Highly recommended employment law firm!

Employers like to hide behind the fact that California is an "at will" employment state. But this does not allow an employer to fire an employee for an unlawful reason. It is unlawful to terminate an employee because they are in a protected category. Protected categories under state and federal law include a person's age, mental disability, medical condition, national origin, physical disability, request for disability accommodations, gender, gender identity, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, LGBTQ+ status, and whistleblower status. An employee who believes they have been wrongfully terminated should consult an Employment Lawyer without delay, as certain deadlines may affect your case.
I would like to know the answer to this one too. I was under duress when this was done to me as well. I wasn't given the correct information and was led to believe it was just a "FOR NOW" thing. And the statue of limitation doesn't seem fair when you are going through the battle of your life. It can sometimes to be too late by the time you finally come up for air and realize all that was wrong.
