Wonderful system of hiking trails with an seaside view. Wouldn’t call this an easy hike by any means as there are plenty of inclined stretches, including a glute intensive set of stairs. But definitely a beautiful area with plenty to explore. Walk through the nearby neighborhood too if you want to see some cool homes. We ended up stumbling upon an estate sale!

Beautiful and calm place. Mixed access trails, horses🏇, bikes🚴, pedestrian🏃. There are plenty of trail paths for desired workout level. The main Burma Rd "S" trail is fairly easy, slow steady decline and is about a mile and half from begining at the top of the hill (where Crenshaw ends) to where it splits off at the 3 section fork. There's trails that are more difficult you just have to go off from the main and zig zag around. There's two porta pottys about a half mile down Burma trail always fairly clean, so please help keep it that way. Parking. There's plenty of parking on Crenshaw before Crest Rd, and on Crest Rd but it gets full pretty full early on. There's new parking rates on Crenshaw past Crest which is $10 for 2hr 45min slots which is pretty pricey but if you're that lazy to walk TWO extra blocks to a trail that is 3+miles then go ahead and pay it up ha. 🤣 Please keep it clean! We need to preserve this place. And remember, NOBODY wants to hear your music! Don't be THAT person! 🙏 🎧

Miles of wide moderate trails, fantastic ocean views. Not a ton of shade but there are vista points for rest and reflection, one with very large pines. Parking is $11 thru the parkmobile app. So much for “public park”. You must reserve in advance and during a designated time slot - 7am, 9, 12pm, 3 or 6. I don’t mind paying for parking, but $10?!?!?!?! I hope the funds are actually going toward conservation. Lots of details on RPV website and park mobile pages. Tip from reading those details: parking is free (still reserve on park mobile) 7-8:45am weekdays. It’s a long walk, but you can also park free in a few spaces on Crenshaw north of Crest. It’s sad we can’t have nice things because people trash them until we all lose and have to pay exorbitant fees to enjoy nature.

This is my stomping ground! I love these hiking trails and mountain biking trails. I try to get up there every week to soak in some of this nature and beauty. I find it therapeutic.

There horse trails and signs not to ride also sheriff patrols it on ATVs.
There are gates at the Crenshaw entrance. You still have access to that point of the trail if it's open
I wouldnt say its kid friendly. Its considered an intermediate to expert trails there is rattle snakes also, but i have seen children their of different ages. That being said if you do desire to take yours kids i recommend you go in the morning around 6am - 8am not alot of parking and the sun can be pretty brutal after 10am. Other than that its a great place for a physical hike.
No it is like hiking trails. There is or was a nude beach not sure if it is still nude. You have to park in abalone cove parking area and hike to it
There is enough off street parking. Then you walk straight ahead to the trail.
Yes, definitely i came across 2 while there, make sure to be aware don't wear earphones preventing from hearing

Stay on the fire road for a relatively easy hike. There are quite a few different trails of moderate difficulty, mostly due to the need to climb back up to return to the start point.
On certain trails! Here is a map on our site: https://pvplc.org/_lands/docs/PBRBrochure2017.pdf
Its actually open from one hour before sun rise and one hour after sun set It's open most days but typically might be closed after rain since the type of dirt has very similar to clay
On the street either Crenshaw blvd from the north or forrestal dr from the East
