I contacted them to discuss openings for an abuse situation. I was told they had open beds but because they were closing in 20 minutes (I was 15 minutes away) I could not utilize them. SHAME. You're a disgusting organization.

It is a very good place if you are trying to get bedroom they will provide a bed dinner lunch they are for a lot of resources to help people the only thing I didn't like was the fact I couldn't stay there all day you have to leave by 7 good morning and you can't come back until you're assigned time which is usually around 3:30 or 4

This is down town Kansas city Missouri's premier men's shelter. They offer several programs. I have volunteered in different capacities with them for many years. Very professional, and friendly staff.

KCRM Women's shelter is the only one I know of but contact them and they mite be able to direct you to list I'm not aware of . Restart is a unisex shelter where couple's can fall on hard times and stay together but you're better off staying at KCRM 's men and women shelters so that you can stay your course trying to come up out of the shelter system . I got donation for Hope Faith their open 6 am to 3 pm I established a place for homeless community to go it's a day center with breakfast and lunch the Legacy of Gutter
KCRM Kansas City rescue mission has a men's and women's shelters you can see her every day up to 6 PM from whatever time you all got together in the morning . You'll have to leave the shelter by 7 am it opens back up 3 PM you can use restroom buy pop then back outdoors they start letting men in 5 pm in the chapel after that you go to dinner listen 👂 here that's the best meal in downtown KC . After dinner you go to the dorms wake up 5:30 and I think you have to pay a dollar 💵 to stay after the free nights they'll start you off with . Ask for Mike he used to cook he's admin now tell him Gutter sent you they'll look out after you ❤️
Yes there is a specific program you can talk to one of the case workers.

The overnight emergency shelter is a men's shelter. Intakes are normally 9-noon and 1-3pm, with 6pm as a backup. I'd recommend calling ahead of time to ensure there are open beds available.
