Avoid it if you can. If your teen is suffering from depression take him/her somewhere else. All they will do is drug them and release them for follow up somewhere else. The place is not clean and the staff is disorganized. They even lost my kids personal belongings at discharge.

As a patient there, this was a living hell. During a severe panic attack, my doctor left me mid-attack because of "lunch break". I would expect them to deal with the problem first then continue. A nurse named Amber scolded me for walking up and down the hall which we are allowed to do when we anxious. Saying that I do this everyday and I should stop "Faking it". I was never faking it. And they treat everyone in the hospital like a punching bag to scold for the dumbest reasons.

They have, literally, saved my daughter's life twice now. Our family feels beyond blessed just knowing they are there. She has felt safe, cared for (really cared for and about) when she stayed. Clean, comfortable rooms and interesting groups, and as an added bonus the food was nice. As a parent of someone who's experienced PTSD from a very violent attack and subsequent drug addiction, I was lost as to how to help my beautiful daughter...they stepped in and like a dear friend, they wrapped their arms around her until we found the right place for her to further heal. Thank you so, so much, you are appreciated.

Best hospital I’ve ever been treated at, from the time I was first admitted (18) to most recently dude to a relapse (24) now . It was nice seeing familiar faces Luis, and Barbara, Chris, Bo, all true hero’s , legends of Sharp Mesa Vista! I hope to someday go back to work as a volunteer is my dream, hopefully someday after I’ve finished my schooling, and who knows maybe even work there! This is my two cents on SMV, I love you guys ! Thank you for everything you’ve done for SD!
