We were camping in Redmond and planned a trip to stop at SHARC on the way home. We looked at the website to make sure we could enter the pool without staying in Sunriver or being members. Our family plus 2 others - 7 kids total, went out of our way to find an appropriate place to park our trailers within Sunriver that wouldn’t block parking. We loaded up all of swim supplies and made it to the pool before noon only to find a huge line and hours of wait time before we could enter. All of this would be fine, except there was nothing on the website stating the pool had a capacity nor time slots to reserve a time at the pool. It was a huge disappointment for the kiddos and poor communication on SHARC’s behalf.

We absolutely love coming to Sunriver every summer with our kids! The past 11 years, excluding ‘20 and ‘21, we have enjoyed a week of fun in the sun each year. We all were so excited to finally be back after the crazy of the last two years!!! Yesterday was our first full day here and we couldn’t wait to spend the day at the SHARC, we were completely let down walking in at 10:15am (15 minutes past opening) to see that every chair and lounge chair had been spoken for. What was the most disappointing was that there was only about 1/4 of the normal amount of chairs and loungers offered!!! Why so few?!?!? I asked a lifeguard where the chairs were and why there were so few. Her answer, “COVID” are you kidding me!? So an airborne virus is the cause of not having chairs and lounge chairs offered for pool guests? How absurd is that? If they were still so concerned about Covid they should have chairs out but limit the capacity of people at the pool. This does not make any sense at all, super frustrating!!! I sure hope whoever makes the rules/call on this pulls their head out of their bu** and figures this out!!!

It's always fun to spend time at the pool. As far as pools go, the SHARC is great! They have an inner tube slide, a lazy river, lap pool, and large main pool geared towards kids of all ages. The only downside is it can get crowded

Frustrating experience due to over crowding and poor crowd management. Need the reservation system to come back and more swimming options in SR. Kids left really disappointed, they shouldn’t allow families with young kids to wait in the heat like that. Plan to wait an hour before the allotted time to get in.

Yes you can. As long as the swimmer isn't using it as a flotation device you're fine. If you do need a flotation device, it just has to be US Coast one through. Water wings arent allowed, but puddle jumpers are. North Pool provides a small set of life jackets as well.
No, it is closed.
It is not open to the general public at this time due to staffing shortages. Access is only to SROA Member Preference ID cards, SROA guest passes or Recreation Plus Program participants. If things change it will be posted on the SHARC website and social media.
Hello Hollis... due to lifeguard staffing shortages we have no general admission at this time. You need a valid SROA Member Preference ID card, Recreation Plus Program card or an SROA guest pass. You can find information about access at https://www.sunriversharc.com/plan-your-visit/recreation-swim-sessions. Please check the website often as things can change.
Generally, Memorial Day weekend.
Outdoor portion of the sharc closes this month, but indoor is open year round
A circular pool with water jets to make it flow like a river. You can float around like going down a river
Visit www.sunriversharc.com/rates to know the admission fees.
Yes, if you have your own life jacket you may bring it, however it must be Coast Guard approved (no inflatable wings allowed) to be used in the pool. Life jackets that are Coast Guard approved will indicate it on the life jacket.
Yes
