My granddaughter and I took a trail ride recently. We enjoyed it very much -our guide, Sarah, was great, the horses were cooperative, the scenery was lovely, and the weather was perfect. However, I feel the advertising was misleading. Our ride was billed as an hour and 15 minutes, when actually we were on the trail for only about 50 minutes -- we set off at 2:35 and returned at 3:25. When I asked about this, I was told that the 1 and 1/4 hours includes the time spent instructing us. That still didn't add up to the full fime. In any case, it should be made clear that the ride itself is less than an hour.

I am so disappointed with my experience with this company. My daughters and I were scheduled to go horseback riding but the evening prior the air quality became really bad and was in the “unhealthy” range. I called first thing in the morning and asked what my options were since it was unsafe for my kids to be out in the air. They would not do anything. No option offered. Said I would have needed to cancel 24 hours in advance. They did not care at all that the air was unsafe. I can not believe a company of this nature would care so little for their customers safety. It makes me question what else they would do to make buck. Pure greed.

I would like to start by saying I have never left a review before, but this experience justifies doing so. While a weight limit for riding is listed on the site when you book the reservation (because they can't accommodate a large number of the general population by having an average size horse apparently), they neglect to inform you that if they don't believe you they will pull you aside in front of a group of strangers and ask that you get on a scale. It is very expensive to pay for this unbearably embarrassing fat shaming experience, and of course they worm out of a refund by essentially ignoring you. One of the worst experiences we have ever had on what was supposed to be a fun vacation.
