If you're looking for a simple place that is clean and conveniently located to Disneyland, this is the place for you. Any time I called the front desk for additional items, it was promptly delivered. It's located rihht across the street from the Disney entrance. There are many places within walking distance to eat as well. Self parking space is limited, but they do offer valet for no extra charge. It worked great!

Rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and soap. Breakfast included bran flakes, a necessity for us older folks. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Spacious lockers are available to store luggage for early arrivals, or when checking out while staying in the area after 11AM. Bring 5 quarters. Rooms are relatively quiet even when close to Harbor Blvd. Denny's and IHOP next door. If you rent a wheelchair or electric scooter, they will be waiting for you in reception on arrival, and you can leave them there when you check out. Can't wait to come back!

Everything went well EXCEPT….. We arrived at about 2:15PM and were told to come back in 30 min. because the room was not ready. We then moved to the lobby couches to sit and wait. At about 2:45, other guest started registering and receiving their room keys. But despite being there first, we were completely ignored by hotel staff. Had I not got in line, nobody would have assisted us. This shows a failure by the staff to provide satisfactory guest service. We’ve stayed at the Desert Inn many times, so I know the staff can do better. And considering the rate paid, better service is expected. This incident is not a deal breaker. We will probably come back in the Fall. However, I hope that by then the staff is educated about providing service that is not just satisfactory, but also is fair.

3 stars because of the proximity to the entrance of Disneyland. The staff are very friendly which I appreciated when my 12 hour drive turned into a 15 hour drive in the rain. I booked this hotel on a friend’s recommendation and because it’s within walking distance of Disneyland and it has an indoor pool and hot tub. After dropping off our suitcases we headed to the pool - the water was incredibly cold, not just cool and would feel warmer with activity, but cold. The hot tub was only slightly warmer, but still cold - no warmth in the hot tub at all. A staff member checked the temp and controls and said the water was warm a few days ago and she will call the pool people in the morning. Too cold to swim so we. headed back to our room for a hot shower, the noise that came out of the shower head sounded like an old time furnace starting up, it banged and made a loud deep siren sound the entire time the shower was on. The towels are not much larger than a hand towel and feel like you’re drying off with a loofah. We were given 3 towels and 4 washcloths for our party of 5. When laying in the bed you can feel the springs poking through and the pillows are very flat, it takes 3 to make one regular pillow - I’m not exaggerating; unfortunately we had only five pillows. If you just want a spot to drop your stuff and you can sleep under any circumstance, this may be the place for you. I won’t book here again.

They include the price with your stay. It is $15. But well worth it.
Call the hotel. Seriously, how would anyone know?
Victoria beach, 35 min Newport Beach 45 min Laguna Niguel 45 min
McDonalds and Mimi's are fairly close as well. Also there is a good store on the motel just to the north.
You will be directly across the street from Disneyland. It took us 5minutes to get to the security check point before the main gates.
From their website: HOTEL FEES: * Resort Fee $6.00 daily. * Parking Fee $11.00 daily. * Tourism District Assessment 2%. * Room tax 15%. * Cribs are $10.00 per night and are ubject to availability upon arrival. * Roll away beds are available at $10.00 per night for certain room types, please call for details. I dont think unique is the point, it's mainly things thst are well known or "comfort", or at the very least you know what to expect from them. Places like Denny's, Mimi's, McDonald's & Panera. If you want unique, you go into downtown Disney.
Cribs are $10/day. I don't think they do rollaway beds.
