They are only taking appointments. You must arrive early enough in the morning to receive an appointment window for that day. This is just a guess but if you arrive before 6am you should get a 8am to 9am appointment window. They will start walking around at 6:30 handing out appointment times.

I was there by 4:30am and was 15th in line. But the number get passed out by 6am, and they only give out 250/day. So as long as you get in line by 7/8am I think you'll be good 👍

People are lined up at 5:00 am. Someone actually slept there overnight. It's very critical to be in line well before they start handing out the tickets. Get your documents uploaded on their website and bring them all with you to ensure a smooth service

If you want to get a real id, you can go on the dmv website, fill out the application, upload all your documents. When you get the confirmation with a "stop sign" on it go to any dmv office and walk up to the front desk and you will be expedited. I did it on Friday. The fastest I have ever gotten out of a dmv office!!

They are. Of course, the lines are very long because only a certain number of people are allowed inside. I believe anybody who has an appointment has a designated day of the week to fulfill that appointment so they can service as many people as possible. I can't confirm that but I heard it said when I was there the other day.

Easiest ways for you to walk into the DMV and wait your turn but make sure you bring two forms of identification with you and also a recent Bill whether it be the power bill, the cable bill, or phone bill with the address that you live at. The only other fastest way maybe is if you have handicap access or if you're disabled then you go to the disabled line and get a disabled number which sometimes is called a lot faster than the regular numbers.

Just wait for another one to magically appear in your wallet. Happened to me back in '05 and it took a while for the DMV to get notified of my lost ID. They were able to track it down using state of the art gps technology and were able to get it back to me on a warm summer night. Great service. They were even able to put it in the "picture holding area" that was inside that wallet. Good luck.
