I just got mine this week. Appointment is for application of driver license only. Real ID, upload all info to the DMV that you will go. Print the finished page with the stop sign and the confirmation#. No appointment is needed. Just stand in line. Show the DMV staff your confirmation# and the finalized print out. Total time from standing in line to done is about 1 hour.

Karen, i went to Montebello dmv. First i registered and filled out info at id.me. At the almost end, u will see the sign like Stop sign with red color. Take a picture or print that. Then it will give u some numbers. Either print or take a picture. After that, go there when they open. When i went there, i had those, so i got in front of the line. Good luck
