Called to ask if they knew where I could go for clear breakdown of the Covid rental eviction protections in 2022, was told she wasn’t an attorney & couldn’t help me. I asked again if there was any website I could look at that would explain the protections & she instead told me to get advice someplace else. I tried to explain I wasn’t looking for advice & asked “so there’s nowhere I can go to see the 2022 Covid rental eviction laws?” & she said no. I was genuinely shocked & said okay thank you & she immediately hands up. This seems like basic information someone here should know. Every response was curt. Never called here before but definitely will never call again.

EDN has helped on a couple of occasions where we have a landlord that is always trying to screw renters for more money or find a reason to evict, since we live in a rent protected area and pay under market rates; market rates of which are unethical in themselves. Sadly and thankfully rent controls are the law, because landlords like the one we have lay in wait for any opportunity to squeeze another dollar out of a renter.

If you have contact and under rent control, they shall serve 30 days eviction notice instead of 3, or 5 days notice . Ask them to show the proof of service
All u have to do is answer to the court and file for court date....eviction defense network sucks
You need to find out if your home is rent-controlled. If it is, the 60 day notice is invalid. If not, you may still have defenses. Either way, you should see a lawyer.
You are in danger now ! It means Your landlord had got court order to legally evict you. And you must pack your staff finding other place to live. Otherwise you will be in trouble. Or lose your stuff.

I had an illegal eviction filed they won the case got me money and time to move. Be aware they they do charge for their services.
I wouldn't go to eviction defense network or edn there a joke all they do is stall and get you more time and it really don't do any work want real work go over to 1545 Wilshire to Basta they're the only ones that have real lawyers to do real work I went to eviction defense network two or three times and all I did was screwing me around and ask for more money also look up in the 3500 area 3600 area of Wilshire home defense network they'll give you great advice and even give you referrals to private lures you got to have money to fight a big money landlord

However they lie about their medical situation to outside party while the fact I see each of them holds a bunch of medication. Some of them obviously have mental illness and severe psychological problem. However, certain party teach them to lie .
Has anyone experience police becoming board members for condos who are investors in the remodeling of it and push owners out via harassment and false arrest like the sheriff did me?

Just go to Legal Aid Foundation for and take care of it You they're very helpful there's subsidized with the United Nations so you will get help that's itI myself was being helped by. Their hard working and dedication to pull you out of the ditch that you are in ; just have faith in you and them.Some how one day you will be free of your troubles that I can promise you my dear friend . Trusting and believing in them and follow up with the criterias to go along with them and in the end it will be a great cheerful moment you will remember as long as you live.
