We tend to deal mostly with cats, and the occasional rabbit, duck, chicken or Guinea pig. We own one dog, and took in one rescue who will probably live out her days here. Check on sites that track animals available from rescues in your area (including ours!) like petfinder.com and adopt-a-pet.com where they let you know if you are buying from a private person, a state agency shelter, or a nonprofit. I hope you find the best friend who is somewhere out there right now, waiting pet-iently for you to arrive!
