Now that these guys have been taken over by The Pub at Lake Cuyamaca... WOW! Incredible. Thank God someone stepped in and restored this restaurant to a place of wonder. Just an incredible experience, fantastic food, great beers, and amazing staff.

Get Ready for one of the BEST Far East Destinations from some of the very best San Diego Establishments you already know and Love… O’Briens Pub, West Coast Smoke & Tap and Nickel Beer Company. This last weekend November 2021 there was a Soft Opening and here are some photos of what’s to come, best believe I’ll be back and will bring an even more updated review. Nostalgic atmosphere and awesome outdoor seating overlooking the lake. Pecan pie was delicious. Chicken pot pie hearty and homemade. The fish and chips are not worth the price point, mediocre over cooked batter.

The closest place that I ever found was Box Canyon which is just north of Ramona off of Magnolia Rd about 5+ miles once you're on the dirt road and its a bit of a hike down to River Quarry !!!
NO! Anyone who says you l yes is wrong! No inflatables or sit on top kayaks allowed. We took an inflatable kayak last year and they stopped us saying regulations don't permit it because it's a drinking water reservoir and they can't take the chance that people will fall in the water and contaminate it (I know, stupid). Lucky for us, they gave us two of their sit-in hard kayaks to use for free for a long as we wanted.
