The McKenzie apartments are very nice, modern, and clean. I especially appreciate how quiet they are! I very rarely hear anything through the floors or walls, or from the streets. Being someone brand new to Eugene, but to Oregon entirely, I really would have benefited from more complex-specific communication and support with my move-in and first few weeks, ie information about recycling, packages, mail, etc. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

Cailin has been great! We are very excited to move there and be part of the community. We drove by without an appointment and the concierge was friendly and gave us a bunch of great information. We were thrilled when we found out the place was ours!

This complex is in a nice area and apartment was spacious. Walls are very thin though. Didn’t have many problems except for two things. #1 there is a long list of things you cannot keep on your patio/balcony which is understandable. I had a dog fence set up so me and my dog could hang out outside on the patio when it was warm. I got a notice regarding this and was told to remove it or I would be fined, but yet people had propane tanks, grills, fire pits/heaters, and even flags (all of things which were not allowed) and yet it seemed like I was the only one being “punished”. #2 they took almost half of my deposit for move out cleaning charges. I had video proof that everything was cleaned, they even give you a list of things to clean and replace before you move out (which I did). When asked about proof from their maintenance team of the things that weren’t cleaned, they could not provide me with it. They claimed they do not have access to pictures taken by the maintenance staff after move out. Seems like they are just keeping the money and not using it for cleaning costs because it was dirty when I moved in. My final words are if you do not care about getting your deposit back, this is the place for you!

Overall quiet and safe. The apartments are brand new and well thought out. Assigned parking is great. In general the amenities are really nice, especially the personal touches in the club house room. Now that the package center is open, it’s a really great service. The pool and hot tub area are clean and nice, but there are no umbrellas or shade sails, so most of the seating is in direct sunlight, hopefully they can fix this.
