I installed a Lennox A/C system through COSTCO about 2 years ago and A-plus is the contractor for this. About one week ago, the thermostat broke. The display went blur and became almost not readable. This seems to be a very common problem when I search online as I saw similar problems are reported by our Lennox users. I called A-plus to fix the problem. First, A-Plus said they will come to do a diagnosis first for $120. I told them it is the thermostat display problem and no need for diagnosis. Then they said they can install a new thermostat for $350. What a rip off! I checked other local A/C service providers and they mostly charge $150 per hour for A/C services. Install a new thermostat may be the simplest service and can be done in half an hour. Not to mention that this is to fix an issue that should not happen in just 2 years. What a rip-off! I am really regret that I installed my A/C system with Costco. I trusted COSTO too much. I assume the service provider selected by COSTCO should have be similar to COSTCO, high qualify and relative low cost. But the service cost of A-PLUS is much higher than other regular service providers. At the end, I decided to use another local service provider to install the new thermostat with much lower cost. So, I just want to tell my story so that the other customer is aware of this before they make the decision to install A/C system through COSTCO using A-PLUS as the service contractor.

I hired these guys through Costco. I bid 3 companies and although they were not the lowest bid, they were very close and I also got a 10% back by using my Costco CC which ended up being a $1500 Costco gift card! They also found I had a sewer leak and some rats. They took pictures and even one guy went back down to take a video of my sewer leak to send a plumber. After they were done, I had sewer lines put in and attic insulation and clean up done. These contractors left junk. A plus came back out to test my air flow and clean up the junk on top of it!

We recommend having a service tech come out for a maintenance. There might be an issue with one of the components in your air conditioner. Please contact the installation company for more information.
