Since transferring my mother from this facility to one closer to home I have been wanting to review Arroyo Vista. Moving her out of Arroyo Vista was a mistake! This facility is small but that is a plus since there is always someone near by if need it. The staff from the kitchen staff to the nurses and therapist and everyone in between was caring and wanted to make sure my mother's needs were being met. It wasn't until I transferred her that I realized that not all facilities are alike. If I ever needed a care facility again Arroyo Vista would be my first choice.

My uncle was in this facility to recover. The therapy team was amazing as they helped him get stronger day by day. Their communication is great whenever our family called for updates and his status. The nursing staff took great care of him. The facility is small, so he was familiar with the nurses he’d see often. Would definitely recommend this facility!

My family member stayed in this facility after he suffered from a stroke and needed therapy to recover. He was having difficulty walking and moving his entire left side. He worked with the therapy team for 3 months. I saw him walking with a walker and he was discharged with a cane!!! The therapy department is amazing and really helped him progress to his full potential. The therapy he received was above and beyond my expectations. How involved and caring they were about his progress made me realize how great of a team they are. The nursing team was also super attentive, they notified my family and was available to give updates whenever we called. The facility is super clean, they are constantly cleaning! I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who needs to recover. I would trust my family member here!

I am currently being cared for after a long recovery involving an antibiotic PIIC Line that is placed intravenously for doses that are slowly administered into the heart, three times a day. A very serious process for my hip injury. I have been here for a month and I am scheduled to be released next week. On top of the COVID 19 pandemic, I couldn't be in a better place taking all into consideration. I am impressed at how friendly and professional the staff is here. The staff have always been respectful, courteous, and polite. The environment is warm, and friendly. The staff does, and have done their best to make me feel like I am a welcomed resident with the level of care shown. All employees here have been helpful to the extreme. The maintenance guy bends over backwards to accommodate and serve. The case management is friendly, very helpful, and shows quality professionalism. She made it work for me when it could have been problematic due to insurance issues. All the therapy staff have been very outgoing and helpful in every aspect. The food is great in any setting. The nurses are so caring and loving. They are very considerate, gentle and sensitive to the individual needs of the patients they serve. I consider myself to be blessed with having been given the opportunity to experience my stay in such a clean and well kept facility. The cleanliness is non stop and done so in a timely manner. The grounds are safe, quiet, and well kept, making the outdoor experience a peaceful place to relax. Overall, the food, rehabilitation, and care is excellent, giving me the sense of well being that is highly appreciated, to say the least. Thank You, To All My Nurses, " * <3 * You know who you are. * <3 *" , From The Heart, ~ (R.N.'s), (C.N.A.'s), My Therapists, Maintenance man, all the ladies that make it work, case mgmt./social worker. and everyone involved in making A.V.N.C. the best. * WITHOUT A DOUBT IN MY MIND * I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. Blessings To All Of You

Talk to his Social worker and try to get him replaced to a different facility, and if that doesn't work, you(primary person in charge) can always just take him out and replace him.

Most of the time yes. But talk to the charge nurse to know all details.

Service animals are allowed to visit, we also have visits from SD county animal shelter volunteers sometimes, they bring pets to visit with the residents.
