Poor quality nursing if I could give 0 star I would, my dad has been here for barely a week and I've already had to switch rehab facilities because he felt he was being neglected.. Not sure whats going on with this place but it doesn't seem to provide any kind of service that I can't provide myself..with that said please be advised if you care for your loved ones don't rely on this facility to provide any adequate assistance

My husband was at the rehab for 6 weeks. During this time I was not allowed to see him unless I sat outside on the balcony and talked through the screen. During his time there he was sent to at hospital twice; the second time he was unresponsive. I finally sent him to another rehab. When I went to pick up his sandles (I had just bought them), two shirts, two shorts and his dentures they could not be found. I talked to the man in charge and left a telephone number, but never received these items.

Staff was not changing the residents as they should. They leave them unattended for a while and they speak badly about residents family members as if they were not in the room. If I could rate this place a 0 I would. I don't trust them with my family member. Absolutely enraged to how poorly they are being treated especially in the dementia hall. OUTRAGEOUS to how they allow dementia hall residents to have scissors. I hope their management improves in the meantime!!

Moved my dad from a nursing/rehab facility in El Cajon to Balboa Nursing & Rehab in April 2017. Today was his first day and he already noticed a difference. Balboa Nursing is cleaner, has a happier atmosphere and nicer staff members. Pictures attachrd match those on website. I'll post an update in the near future. Thanks to their marketing person, Joseph, for answering q's and helping with a speedy transfer!
