Extremely difficult to get a live representative. I tried for two weeks calling non-stop in the mornings as soon as 8am. hit but the lines were already jammed with so many callers. I’d get, “Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please try your call again later” or “We’re sorry, the number of callers waiting to speak to a representative has been reached. Goodbye!” Grrrrrr!!!! So infuriating!!! My automatic disability payments stop every few weeks making it extremely stressful for me to recover. This is my only source of income. I have to answer the same questions over and over again to get my payments restarted since I opened my claim! You just have to keep calling until you get thrown into the hold cue. I finally got through today by some miracle and got my claim fixed, for now until I have to call again. People who need this money that we paid into shouldn’t have to go through this!!

reading posts from 5 years past, I am experiencing the same issues.. no answer, reach max limit of callers and get hung up on... disability stopped my payments asking for doctor certification after they already received it, had it sent again, and here I am with rent due and no payment in 30 days! what is going on with these government institutions paid for by the people, for the people, but not working for the people... an update to this, you have to been persistent and continue to call. I made call after call for days around two hours a day. I eventually got thru. And then be patient because I was on hold for over 90 minutes with 2 separate people for a total of over 3 hours.

This place is garbage. Called three times about a fax for an emergency payment since I haven't received benefits in 24 days and they can't even tell me if they received the fax? It is really easy for them to take your money but when it comes to giving it back they have every excuse in the world.
