If there was negative star option, I would give them -1000. We recently took our newborn baby who was vomiting blood to the ER here. First of all at the reception, they were just casually taking to each other ignoring our blood vomiting baby. They did a test and found out there were ulcers inside his stomach. Doctors couldn’t find find the reason so they decided to blame us, the family , and called CPS on us. I asked if this was a such case here, they told me they had the very exact case before and couldn’t find the reason either. The reason why they didn’t call CPS on them was they were white. Now this is a clear case defamation and discrimination. Thankfully, our baby is doing fine. But I question the professional and lack of empathy at this hospital. I wonder the if heartless lady who called CPS was n us even has her medical license. THEY TORTURED US FOR TWO WEEKS.

Get ready for a book! LOL. I recently had a lengthy stay at this hospital in the oncology ward. I would give them 5 stars if not for 3 things (read further). That being said, overall, my experience here was incredible - and I say that strictly because of the staff. I have been in and out of a multitude of hospitals and ERs since I was a child. By far, the people working the 9th floor in Oncology were the sweetest and most compassionate people I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by. I was there for some time and met MANY nurses; almost every single one had the most amazing mindset about their patients: they treated and cared for (us) as though (we) were family. They are passionate about their jobs and responsibilities and above all - KIND-HEARTED!! I had nurses who cried with me, held my hand, offered comfort... It was unbelievable, quite honestly. The team there works well together and they all seem to be on the same page in regards to compassionate care. The reason for 4 stars: 1) I had the misfortune of running into a really nasty night doctor who was (immediately) aggressive, dismissive, abrasive, disrespectful, impatient, and incredibly rude to me - for no good reason. When I told him (he had his arms crossed and was talking down to me), "You seem very aggressive." He raised his voice and responded with, "Well maybe I'm tired!" "Maybe leaning against this [wall] is really uncomfortable!" "Maybe I've had a long night!" "Maybe I have over 20 patients to watch over..." He went on and on. He did seem tired. And he was working oncology - which is not an easy ward, still, I did not deserve that. I was upset and he was there because I wanted to leave; for 2 fairly critical reasons: 2) I had a body heart monitor on and had an episode (I woke from a sound sleep with my heart racing at 133 BPM, severe arrhythmia, and palpitations) the nurses on shift forgot to change the battery on the monitor - and no one came to assist me. 3) My allergy list was adjusted during my stay here (which is fine) EXCEPT, a medication I am deathly allergic to was accidentally deleted and then ordered to be given to me (!!!); I know it was a mistake, but had I been given the medicine, my stay might have ended horrendously. For these 2 reasons, I no longer felt safe there and I asked to be discharged as soon as possible. It was 4 am - my doctor(s) were not there and that was when I met the night doctor: He gave me a really hard time over my decision and was dismissive about THEIR mistakes. Other than that, I was very pleased with the staff: whenever someone needed to touch me, they asked permission or told me what they were going to do before doing it. The head cook (Robert) came up to my room to talk to me about my ridiculous amount of food allergies - this amazing man was incredibly educated in allergies and food allergies. He was patient, thoughtful and kind and even went out to a grocery store to buy me a loaf of bread - with his own money and on his own time! During my stay, I could not eat off the standard menu - every dish was custom made for me and he also used his "purple" utensils (a separate, special bag of utensils) to cook my food as to avoid any contamination issues. Bless his heart. He is a keeper! LOL Then, there was RN Rattanna - one of the nights there I was having an especially difficult time... she came in and stayed with me for a hour (at least) - we shared stories and she comforted me - I will never forget (you) - an incredible woman, person and nurse! *heart* Dr. Werbaneth - an amazing doctor, heavily educated in her field and very compassionate, thoughtful and patient. I feel blessed to have been connected with her. RN Ben - my last day was "rough" to say the least. Ben asked me if he could hold my hand. I needed that. He held my hand and comforted me... He was supportive and caring... I can not speak highly enough about the ppl I mentioned (and there are others I didn't mention that deserve similar recognition; I haven't forgotten about you). *hugs* and respect across the board. Thank you all - *hugs*

I had a heart attack in redding ca and was lifeflighted to cpmc after my difficult case stumped my local hospital. The staff here were beyond amazing special thanks to the surgical staff and my case manager whom personally went and got my heart medications even though it was past normal delivery hours. I would like to point out that the nurse staff were notch too. THANK YOU for saving my life.

Our daughter fell down. Her top teeth hit the upper lip. The bleeding could not stop. We went to the hospital, CPMC Van Ness Campus Emergency. Doctors and nurses help us a lot because our daughter is 4 years old, she cried all time. They tried to make our daughter stop crying. So, they blew balloons, gave the stickers, brought the dog to help, and turned on TV. They was very patient with our daughter. We are thankful to all of you. Thank you very very much. 🙏🏼

P-1 discharge lounge for family pick up. Taxi and Uber is on 2nd floor valets area
That can vary by department.
With ever changing covid restrictions I would call first
The CPMC main entrance is between Franklin and Van Ness street, there is a drive through area for people to drop off or pick up patients or to walk in. Or if you want to come to CPMC ER, the ER entrance is on Franklin street of CPMC hospital building. Hope it help.
1st Floor Emergency Department
I didn't see any signage that could indicate parking availability, but I wasn't observant at the time I was there. The parking structure I was in was enormous with multiple levels and easy access to elevators.
You can enter on Geary or Post I believe. You can use Geary to drop off passengers
In middle of the block on the Geary street side. That is the main entrance.
Coffee shop based on Starbucks next to cafeteria.
For patients or guests/family?

Dr. Warren Browner
Yes to your first question.
I'd suggest giving them a call
Yes, enter on Post or Geary mid block. $32 for every 24 hours, possibly less if you valet.
I would contact the hospital administration office directly.
Yes there is a parking is $ 35 or $38 for the day
I would contact patient services
I would suggest calling whatever provider ordered the labs for you.
Enter on the Franklin street side of the intersection and Franklin and Post, it's on the southeast corner.
Not all insurances have added Van Ness and Mission Bernal to the contracts making them out of network . Always check with your insurance to make sure they are contracted
