First Church Belmont Unitarian Universalist has been my church community for 22 years. I cannot imagine my son's life without it and am very grateful! They also have been creative in the pandemic!

Welcoming, inviting, open-to-ideas community... with sermons that make me think and feel! (Superb music is a huge component, but I'm biased. :-)

The community of First Church embraced and welcomed us when we moved to town, knowing nobody. There is an incredible number of programs for youth and adult, fostering opportunities to form connections and be engaged. My teenage children found in Youth Group a radically welcoming place in a world that puts so much pressure on young people.

Questions & Answers

where is parking

The church has a small lot that can hold about 20 cars. During Sunday morning services only, people park along Concord Ave in what is otherwise a "no parking" zone. There's a large public lot in Belmont Center, a block and a half away.

How long does the "major music" service last? Is there an entire service, including sermon, hymns, etc. or just the music presented by the choir?

There will be a homily not a full sermon and likely a couple of hymns. so that part of the service is shortened but the music part is much longer than normal obviously. It's hard to say how long it will last for sure but somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes is a good bet.
