Every other bad review is absolutely correct and their canned responses are exactly the level of communication and effort you can expect from them. The pool we were promised at move in is a swamp they are still selling it to new tenants but they have no intention of fixing it, the roaches are more comfortable in your home than you are, the maintenance guy is fantastic but so overworked that he can't really catch up. The people in the office regularly changing so they don't see you as humans they've gotten to know you're just an apartment number to them, Overall unresponsive and unhelpful not that actually getting ahold of them is any better as they are rude and dismissive when you do. The gates never work and there are often sketchy people in the parking lot circling, there has been multiple instances of one resident damaging a bunch of cars and police reports have been filed but they can't press charges because the individual damage to each car during each instance is counted separately and none of them on their own is enough $$ of damage, the same resident has been seen exposing herself to minors without repercussions? Laundry machines rarely work and you never know what you'll find in them, I've found everything from chewed gum, broken glass, used Band-Aids, even an entire 9mm bullet! Overall rent here if you want to overpay for an apartment that looks like it could be nice but on closer inspection is just as grimey as the cheaper places.

My boyfriend moved in here less than three weeks ago. He was promised a $650 rent. Soon as he moved in and signed the lease it was increased to $850 due to utilities which he paid for thru PNM. not only did they finagle him, and break the contract, but there are more problems with this location. The dryers do not work, the stove takes forever to get hot, the lighting is atrocious, and the swimming pool is filthy tiny and empty.

Renters beware. Rewriting this because the maintenance here is not great to say the least. Several have quit so no work orders ever get done as they only have one overworking himself. I have had a a/c problem for over a year and a half and it has not been fixed it sometimes 90 degrees in our home and my poor toddler gets heat rashes. We had bee’s in my 2 year olds bedroom and they just caulked it. Our water heater broke and was leaking for over 2 days because emergency maintenance didn’t answer and later turned off the phone. We have had a hole it our roof for over 2 years no repair done. Problem after problem and management never seems to be concerned. It’s so upsetting how they treat their residents.

I lived here for a little over two years with my fiancé. The good part about the apartments is definitely the central location. The management took a turn toward the end of our stay there and unfortunately that meant a lot of trouble for us. Our mail was stolen constantly. The onsite washers and dryers broke down often. Management will occasionally reload your laundry card but sopping wet work clothes and a broken dryer is never convenient. My car was also broken into one of the weeks the gate was broken but luckily I don't keep anything valuable in my car because Burque is like that sometimes. Lastly it has been almost a full year since I moved out and I still have not received the remainder of my security deposit back. I was given an invoice in June (5 months after moving out) that said we would be receiving the $100 that was left of our security deposit by check in the mail. I have called once a month since then to see if they have sent it yet. They assured me management was getting around to it. Then in December they said they found "new charges", but could not give me an updated invoice as to what they were, and we would no longer be receiving our deposit. All things considered I would look for somewhere else to live if you have another option.
