Came here two Saturdays In a row! Walk -in bases, I browsed the hours and figured they close at 4 PM I’ll arrive at 3PM. I was told by the “young” receptionist they stopped taking in walk-ins at 1 PM…. Okay understood I’ll come back next week. Sure enough I arrive at 12 PM following Saturday only to be told they reached full capacity… this is the worst layout they are just sitting there taking their time to process… Ive literally been through this process here years ago and even at the postal office and if your are organized ready to go with your documents, it does not take long, so what are they doing? Because when I walked in no even a single person was being processed!

It’s true, the waits are long and the lines are too. I arrived on a Friday at 7:30am and the office opened a little early to start the waitlist around 8:40am. I was number 12 in line and I immediately had my photo taken. I waited for maybe an hour to apply for my passport. I came with my documents ready and had my check written. You can look up the required documents online that SDSU is allowed to process. IT WAS SO EASY! Warren helped me today and he was so kind and talked me through everything. It is my first time getting a passport and I had a lot of worries that I would do something wrong. Absolutely fantastic service by the whole team who greeted us and announced all the things you need in order to make it a quick process. Things to Know: 1. You have to bring a money order or a blank check with you to pay 2. You have to have a debit/credit card for the processing fee. 3. Be kind to these people, they are just trying to do their job. It’s not their fault you don’t have the right documents.

I am rating my experience with ONE person, the person I was assigned to. Everyone else seemed to be nice! DO YOU RESEARCH!!!! Know what you need, because they seem to be so overloaded with people every day, they are not really helpful if you have questions or need information. I waited 7 hours to get in, only to walk out within 5 minutes because I didn't have the real copy of a document to verify I was born in the U.S. When I asked what I could do, they said: " You can apply now but there will be delays, we aren't sure how long'' Then they said there is NO other possible way for them to verify my citizenship. I asked if she would relay my concerns to a manager or someone else, she came back within a minute and told me, sorry there is no other way. When I got home I was furious on some epic level. I looked up alternate ways to verify citizenship, and there is a form for it, with multiple options. The fact that she didn't mention the form name or the other options I had after waiting for 7 hours, is infuriating. Hopefully it was that persons first day and they got fired or quit, because they represented that office extremely poorly.

Overall a great experience for a walk in location. I arrived at 7:30am on a Saturday and was #30 on the list (lots of families so approximately 40-50people total in front of me). I was called in around 9:25 am and was out by 9:45am. The student workers are nice, helpful, and know what they’re doing. They do pictures on site next to the sign in table for $13. Great price for the convenience! I will also point out that there is no need to bring copies of your identification documents, they will make copies of the original on site. If you’re walking in on a Saturday, expect to wait a bit, but overall excellent service.

100 percent yes. You're child, of any age, must be with you when you apply for their passport.
I don't know the specific form to renew a passport, but the fee is like a 15 dollar processing ....and 80 for book.... no appointment for SDSU
Free parking in P12 half a block north where you would park for Aztec basketball
If you call their number, it says "We do not take appointments"
8:00am- 4:00 pm. Take a money order or cashiers check for $160 and credit/debit card for the $35 sdsu fee. Park around the corner (on 55th) from the office to avoid parking fees.
Yes if you have the application make sure the expiration date is in 2023 and you can go there with no appointments, make sure to go there in early morning so you don’t have to wait for a long time
No they dont. There is a seven eleven near that sells money orders.
Plenty of parking in the parking structure.
No! You need a money order or cashier check made out to the department of state. You can pay for the processing fee and picture fee with a credit card but the initial fee for the passport book or card has to be in a check or money order.

It ends up being like 90 dollars in total although you do need to come with a money order, they can help you fill it out though, and for the process you just need a passport (it can be expired) or birth certificate to turn in and for the rest you can get help there.
Only walk ins actually, no appointments
Fed ex expedited passport 5 weeks
They both have to be there
Yes but you have to pay the extra fee
You must have a check or money order for EACH application to the US Department of State ($130/$30 for adult book and card, $100/$15 for child book and card) and also a separate payment of $35 each for processing to SDSU(can be card, check or money order). We wrote 4 checks and did 4 debits for a total of $715 for our family of four. The cost to the state department is lower if you choose to not get both the book and the card. A couple other things to note- you must have all children present, even infants, and also both parents if the birth certificates list both. You must use the proper forms (most current and the forms for applying in person versus mail in). Finally, be there EARLY, as in prior to opening. We arrived mid morning and were there for 3 hours, two hours of which were waiting. There is limited seating at picnic tables, all outside. That said, this was a positive experience and the staff was courteous, professional and informative.
You can just go anyday. No appointment needed. Bring checks or money orders. You will probably need to order another passport. They are really good. You could call first and ask about this issue.
Yes for another charge. 13$. Bring check or money orders! $ separate $35 processing fee .
The office provides you with an information card that helps you to keep track of the progress.
Right now, 8 to 11 weeks if regular process (end of March). 5 to 7 weeks if expedite, add $60 to the payment (end of February).
I did a walk in a week or 2 ago and it is expected to come back in Dec with it expedited $90 for the card $200 for both
Yes you can, you just have to pay more. They will tell you how faster your application will get processed.
So, I'm going to make this clear. Sign up at 7 to 730. You will be absolutely miserable if you don't as it takes far longer if you hadn't gotten there early. I got there like 45 min early and I ended up staying till 1100. If you want, sign up early, and hang out in your car till 845. Just realize you're going to spend a couple of hours waiting for your spot if you don't. Good luck Andrew.
Birth Certificate, consent from both parents, picture Id if the child has one, 2 passaport size photos (they will take them there for you, for an additional $15) and you MUST have a check or money order to pay US State fees (these fees depend on what you're applying for..book, card or both) SDSU processing fee can be paid with card. Hope this helps!
Yes, same process as most. Fill out application, pay fees to US State Department and also SDSU. 2 separate payments. Payment to state department can only be in check or money order and payment to SDSU can only be in debit or credit card, no cash.
Driver's license or state issue ID, Birth certificate or certificate of US citizenship, money order or personal check (please check Department of States website for passport and other related fees). Two Photo passport with white background.
It is very fast in sdsu, they serve you fast and at the latest. Two weeks arrives, recommended
You're an adult, I don't see why not
Do u do passport renewal
no
Adults. Book $110, Card $30, both $140 (personal check, money order or cashier's check)
No, there is no same day passport processing. Expedited (faster) processing takes a couple of weeks, regular turnaround time is more like 6 to 8 weeks.
Nope! This is for the general public.
You'd probably have to expedite it. Normally takes about 6 wks. And overnight shipping would help get it faster
Absolutely, yes make a copy. Because you never know when you might need it. No telling when the State Department's will send original copy back....
Little wait time. I was there around 2pm and was out within the hour. Recieved my passport within 2 weeks
Heck yeah you can dude!
There is no handicap parking
You can get your passport here student or not, and you can also take your picture here, but I'm not sure how much would it cost
