SDHC is awesome especially the women there who should be remembered at this time in the year. Not just now but for the achievements they perform with ease. Women do these magical things seemingly with ease. It is a blessing that we live in a world with women. Honor and respect should be given and so much more so for women who take time out of their day to help men get understanding from their lack of insight to matters that far pass the male AVG. I.Q.

Waited 1 hour 42 minutes for call back. Answered after 2 ring (before start of third ring) said hello and call disconnected. Immediately redialed number (3 PM) and prompt informed; no more calls being accepted today. Disappointing. I can imagine how swamped they are as there are many homeless in the San Diego area. Had previously asked VA for help. I was provided a handout with information on; Shelters, Safe Parking Lots and the like but no concrete assistance. I expected more because of their rhetoric of thank you for your service and how they purport to be there for the veterans. I can't give up though and will have to succumb to homelessness for what I hope is a short time.

I' m 69 and collecting my retirement also receiving rental assistance . My rent is subsidized to fixed income. My question is if I get a part time job is there a limit to how much I can make a month without it effecting my rent subside?
Do y ou have a waiting list.
You can apply for section 8 housing thru the Sdhc.com website or call. I recommend applying online. It is quicker and you are able to keep your information update to date without waiting to speak with a rep. The only thing you won't be able to do is to check your position on the waitlist. The waitlist is 10 years or more. So do keep that in mind. I was lucky because I didn't know my first husband put us on the list in 2006. So when I actually needed to apply for help with housing. They had my information from him already and all I had to do is update my information and remove his information. I just receive my housing voucher in February of this year 2019. February.
You can move. You have to make sure your voucher can be used in the county your going to move to. For example if your voucher is for San Diego then you have to stay within San Diego county. Go into the Sec 8 office they will explain it to you.
It would be preferred if you have an appointment with a Housing Specialist.
Hi my name is krystal and im a single motner currently about to be evicted and looking for a low income apartment for me and my son and my small dog. I have a job and can pay rent its just hard being a single mother trying to pay 1600 a montj plus bills
You can "google" your question and you will find, I believe, that the landlord-tenant act should tell you if the landlord can do that. There are limits to how much it can go up in that short of time, but I'm not sure about frequency.
Sorry I D K
Consider going to the SDHC website and sending an email. I had to escalate a housing issue to the Ombudsman and received an email from correct person in 3 business days. Best of luck to you!

Not at the moment, all the case workers are still working from home. But, the first floor has a Dropbox that is open to drop off paperwork.
No longer. It used to be possible.
If you have been declared Disabled you would go to the top of the list I'm presuming? Reach out to them right away.
I think whenever u find a place
No ,just let section 8 know your grandson is coming and he's homeless
You just call your worker

Housing is in abundance in San Diego, in line with fed standards, HMIS, CES, NED, ED, Section-8, project, tenant based, first time buyer, are prioritized based on specific individual and groups (disability, health insurance, income, @ 26 elements) rather than TIME WAITING on lists.matching specifics # of elements, [VISPIDAT] less that acronym. Do request all aspects relevant to you(r) family needs. by target populations.Get documents, from doctors, and self certify all factors using free training online and webinars. VAWA, homeless v chronic-homelessness extensions before GREATEST NEEDS. IE Years waiting too vague, years homeless / chronic homelessness. Read TAC, ED, NED, find your elements, there are so many,. become that SPECIAL specific, lots of acronyms, sorry, every one changes the level of opportunities, then these are prioritized affecting your rankings, as opposed to expectingmiracl WAITING.Look at every angle, count are ime long lists is the last, is specific to homeless,
Go to san diego housing authority on brodway and 11th near the city college trolley station and apply there
You should first let your current public housing agency know that you want to move to San Diego, they should be able to guide you from there. You can find more information at https://www.sdhc.org/housing-opportunities/help-with-your-rent/current-rent-assistant-participants/move-with-your-voucher/moving-in-or-to-the-city-of-san-diego/

We no longer use the certificate. The difference between the two was the benefit to the tenant.
1500.00 to 2000. to pay the rent
What do i need to do to get my section 8 reinstated?
It's basically a letter stating that you either agree or disagree with whatever decision that they have come too regarding your case but everything you do has to always be submitted in writing
Yes owner needs to pay more for parking.
Call the health department
If you need her to do most things a such as pay bills, rent and Dr. appointments and if you trust her to make it legal then start with a Power of Attorney document signed and notarized. She can be your Payee when it comes to all of your income and if she's over 18 she can be listed as Head of household. BUT NEVER take these random answers as 109% truth on things so important. Ask your Social workers if you get SSI or Soc. Sec. Checks. There's always legal aid although they are hard to get an answer from. Keep asking and you will eventually get the right andlegal answer to help your partic1situation. Hope this helped.
talk to a top supervised. only or call main office. supervised.
