You can "google" your question and you will find, I believe, that the landlord-tenant act should tell you if the landlord can do that. There are limits to how much it can go up in that short of time, but I'm not sure about frequency.

My landlord refused to repair or replace my property damage by the rain. I have rental insurance with allstate and agent denied the claim because it's a maintenance issues because of the flat roof. What can I do?
