I wasn’t planning on posting this, but because management never replied to my email, I decided to post this. Incident occurred MARCH 2022 Below is my email I sent to the “manager” Amy Kerr-Brown. I don’t have any proof this is actually that dept manager, but I definitely should have received a response or follow up. Hey Amy! Thanks so much for your email. I actually made the trip out on Sunday around 3pm. It was unfortunate that although my items were returned no problem, I was met with the most unprofessional sales associate. After telling a middle aged woman that the section she was interested in browsing was “too young for you”, she proceeded to rudely question me if my returns were from The Rack. This question was offensive because it was asked before even greeting me, this was the first thing she said to me, no smile, secondly if I purchased these items from the Rack, why would I go out of my way to come to this specific Nordstrom to return them? She asked purely to be insulting, not for any other reason. I had my items neatly on hangers, the receipt from the online order in my hand and the credit card I used to purchase them with me, AND on top of it all, this particular associate was the one who helped me buy the items initially. She was so annoyed and busy being cold and short with me that she kept insisting that she couldn’t find the clothes I bought, and kept tossing them around on the counter like I was wasting her time. The overall encounter caused me to avoid her section completely and shop elsewhere and go to the other side of the store to be checked out. Rude, unprofessional, unfortunate. Another woman on shift overheard the interaction and instead of giving me better customer service, rolled her eyes at me like I was the one inconveniencing them. I understand I’m just one customer, but, I doubt that shopping experience is what Nordstrom wants to associate with. Calling customers old and broke through passive aggressive remarks? Ouch. Hope this was helpful and informative.

Love this place. I have come to realize Nordstrom has some special folk that truly care about their customers. If you are a fan of Fragrance or even cosmetics, you need to see Anna San or Dona. Both ladies are very kind, very knowledgeable and seem to want to catch up and find out how I am doing when I pay them a visit. They are real people and really care. I highly suggest taking your business to them as they understand community and exceptional customer service. Special thanks to Anna and Dona!
