This place is a good choice for getting around if you prefer to save money on driving and parking, especially in Boston and Logan Airport. I've used the bus for years on personal and business travel and it rarely disappoints. Comfortable coaches, friendly drivers, easy loading and unloading plus cheap parking - what's not to like?

I'm unsure why everyone has to wait inside for the train even on a beautiful sunny day. When asked if we could wait outside the cashier unhelpfully said "I'll call you when it's time to go the gate". This did not answer the question or provide an explanation and felt passive aggressive. Overall it feels like the whole system could be both simplified and improved by having a ticket machine. In general the system seems way too complicated with loads of staff here and on the train bossing everyone about. Boarding a train should be straightforward and not involve waiting by gates to board. It's supposed to be a better alternative to the plane not mimicking it.

The transit center was easily accessible and was very clean. They have a variety of vending machines for snacks. Their Quick-Trak kiosk was out of service at the time I visited. The video attached shows our train arriving at the station.

If you have to go anywhere and the Amtrak goes there, take it out of Portland. I commute to work in Wells each day. I'm painfully shy. I usually don't like public transportation at all. I absolutely love these people, and this station. Free wifi, free bad coffee, and lots of free smiles. Informative, helpful, and well maintained.

There are always lots of taxis waiting there, and there is also a city bus service called “the Metro” if you want to look that up. You could also walk, but it’s probably 2 miles.
This was the question I was looking for. Sad there is no answer.
Yes 100% accessible including HP parking
Most efficient way is to plan a cab or Uber
You can park there for $5/day
Walkable or request an Uber or Lyft ride.
There is none in walking distance that I am aware of. You would need to uber/lyft to at least the airport to get a car.
The clarion, right across the street, through a parking lot.
No there is not,but they do have taxi drivers outside the terminal
Yes you can and you can also leave it there for more days. Last time I checked, it was $5 a day
The Amtrak station is at this address
No car cargo via Amtrak not available. Check car carrier companies, companies that provide driver. Last not the safest advertise for driver only. Heard Craigslist had worked for a few
You can take the concord coach lines up to Bangor. There is a connecting bus that goes up through the county from there (Cyr bus lines) and another that goes to Calais (West bus). The schedule has a list of which buses connect
No.
Lyft
Yes they serve food that they heat up in a microwave. Theirs also drinks and snacks.
2.5 miles. There are usually taxis at the bus station that can take you there.
No, it is just a train and bus station
You'd have to rent from Portland international Airport (take another bus) or schedule something with a local rental company to get them to pick you up at the transportation center
This is in Portland, Maine, not Oregon.
They have taxis outside. No rental cars on site.
There's usually parking available.
$5 per day. More details at https://concordcoachlines.com/stop/portland-maine/
The weather being what it is, Ride share or taxi.
I work there we have never turned anyone away. But it would be easier to be dropped off a half hour before departure time.
Depends where you are going right? Find out at Amtrak web site.
If you call, itll be easier to get the price than trying to figure it out on their website.
There should be a schedule posted inside the station. You can also download the app and check for delays. Lastly, 1-800-USA-RAIL
None of the contexts I can think of regarding a boom and a train are part of or on the down easter.
$6/day, $5/day w/ valid bus/train ticket. Secure, but not guaranteed. Choosing a more secure parking situation and getting dropped off is ideal.
