I adopted my sweet girl, Junebug from the Nashua Humane Society about two years ago. The staff and volunteers are extremely pleasant and helpful and the animals are well taken care of!

Had the pleasure of bringing home a beautiful kitty here recently. The staff is so kind and patient, even when we brought our toddler to meet new cats. I've adopted two cats from the humane society in Nashua and recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.

Go in, and check with the staff about doing some volunteer work.
Hi Barbara, unfortunately no. But do accept towels blankets and linens.
Hi, Bobby! No, unfortunately we do not have need for that type of item. However, we appreciate that you thought of us!
Call the local vets. Lockridge animal hospital in Manchester can either help or point you in right direction. Great people n staff

Hi Liv! We require volunteers are 16 to work with cats and 18 to work with dogs - but our Shelter Ambassador opportunities are open to all ages: https://www.hsfn.org/get-involved/volunteer-2/
Absolutely. We'd love to have them
Good morning, Robin. Unfortunately we don't have a notification system like what you're describing. But please continue to check the website. We open at noon on weekdays and at 10am on the weekends. I encourage you to check before we open. Thank you for your interest.
Hi Marylou, if you live in Nashua, please contact the Nashua Police Departments Animal Control Officer. His name is Bob Langis. (603) 594-3500 He works with us and if he is able to get her he, will bring her here. Thank you for reaching out to help this cat.
Hi, Callie. We do not require appointments for adoptions. You can come anytime during our open hours and meet with an adoption counselor. You can find shelter hours and adoption information at www. hsfn.org. Thanks!
Hi Edward. We are sorry you are having to make this choice. We do provide euthanasia services for owned pets. If you call and speak to our receptionist, she can provide you with more information. 603-889-2275
Of course you can!! But not on Wednesday...and maybe the weekend as well. They want people to visit and then hopefully adopt...That's the whole point really!!! But as always you should just call first to make sure ☺
They might....depending on the breed. They don't typically spay/neuter dogs there because ... They will explain it all to you!😜 BUT they did give me references when I called about my friend's dog. I brought my dog there for regular vaccinations & I LOVE the people & the generous prices! Good luck with everything!
Sherrie A, Such cruel words to Dannette Scott😣 Atleast she reached out to where she adopted her furbabie & making attempt to get her looked at!!
They may be able to give you some information on who does foster cats
450 for puppies 350 for adults 100 or around there for old dogs
You need to call them
They may not read this page. Toy would be best served by calling them directly. As for hypoallergenic animals we were able to adopt a dog that didn't bother my allergies, so yes they do have them depending on what they have on hand at the moment.
My mom went from shelter to shelter to find the "right" kitty to help fill the void when she lost her kitty to cancer. She found him in Nashua Humane Society and she lived in Mass. at the time. They allowed her to adopt her purfect one! I'd go visit. Maybe your purfect fit is waiting for you. I thnk June is a period where they are maxed out too!
They charge $95 with spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, distemper, and microchip included. You have to pay when making the appointment.
None. The average dog costs several hundred to cover neutering and chip.
No.
All their transports are generally from the south.
Honestly your best bet is to call the shelter. We get all sorts of dogs in, basically whoever needs a temporary home. We take any dogs that come out way
Call them. They close at 430, I believe. You should still be able to get the receptionist
I would suggest you call and ask what they have. A site you can look at also is perfinders. They have a lot of dogs available from rescues.
If by closed you mean sealed? Then yes, they would accept it. If the factory seal is broken, they will throw it out.
Yes, we have a spay/neuter program that runs on Mondays by appointment. It costs $90 for a cat neuter.
They do not do that here
Unfortunately, we cannot use opened bags of food. Sorry!
They also have many shot clinics I beleive every Wednesday. The schedule is listed on thier website.
Be best to call them
Do you have a pet grieving support group.
