Stayed here last week- Lobby and lounge looked great and inviting, baseball theme on point. Staff very friendly and responsive. Historical, old and quaint charm is great. Bathroom original style tile is charming. Good location. However……. Online says complimentary breakfast is offered- when actually there is no breakfast of any kind. Outside curb appeal unkempt- landscape and fencing is in poor condition, front canopy and entry very unkempt. Our room did not look like online description and smelled stale: old, dark, stained and worn carpet, furniture and decor dark and out dated- felt dirty, peeling old wallpaper throughout room, corners and cords dusty, living room missing wall art while hooks still on wall, broken desk leg, hole in ceiling above hall closet sink area, several holes in bathroom walls, ceiling fans are 20 years old, shower head didn’t work right, hair in guest fridge, shower rod falling off wall, couch- soiled, several torn areas and smelled so didn’t dare open sofa bed, all pillows were flat and lumpy, several soiled and stained pillow cases, poor caulking holding up sink shelf… Very overpriced ($400+/n) for what is offered and advertisement is not at all equivalent of what is received. Very Disappointed!!

The hotel was good but dated a bit. The size was ok, but old wallpaper and carpeting. It was one of the more affordable hotels in the area,so that's a plus. The location felt safe and beautiful, with some restaurants nearby. The waterfront was incredible with lots of green space to jog, run, walk. I can't give this a 5 star, just due to standards, but I would certainly stay again.

We had a great stay. The staff is very friendly and made us fell very comfortable. The area is very nice and you have a lots of good restaurants nearby. I totally recommend it. The prince was very good for it's location. You can park for free in the area after 6pm.

The woman greeting us at the front desk made this stay go from average to great for us. There's a huge difference in how people speak to you and help you feel looked after that just makes you feel it is all ok. Wish I could remember her name, young woman and very friendly and relaxed. Phew. After a long journey she was what was needed. Thanks! The lobby and lounge area seem to have been updated and are decorated tastefully with a Chicago baseball theme. The rooms are decent and clean, would benefit from some updating too but it served our needs and we didn't feel it was lacking. Great location for a great price and the parking access was cheap for the area. Will stay again.

I'd ask, but i believe they only charge by daily rate. You can always call and ask!
I found out yesterday (3/2/21) that the parking in the building directly behind the hotel, where one is sent if they need parking, only has 5 spaces for Majestic Hotel guests. If the 5 are taken, as they were yesterday, they send you even farther away, across addison st to another residential bldg with the same parking company. Once you receive your ticket you can leave and return to the parking structure with no issues. You leave the car keys in the car like at any other valet parking.
The Majestic Hotel is 6 blocks from the Addison red line stop (about 10 minutes walking). For brown line trains take the red line South 1 stop (would be a 20-minute walk). There are Express and local buses downtown (including the Magnificent Mile/Michigan Avenue) at the end of the block on Lakeshore drive or you can take the Broadway or Halstead bus (about 5 min walk) down to various parts of Lakeview and Lincoln Park. In the warmer months there are also Divvy bikeshare bikes available at multiple stations within a 3-block radius.
