Matt p idk who you are or who put those signs up but this park has had swimming and dogs allowed in it for years, ive been in the lake with new Hanover county sheriffs on horseback so I’m pretty sure it’s allowed. Also what’s kind of crazy when you look up if a council meeting or anything happened about not allowing dogs and people in you can’t find anything about it.

A great little area. Big walking trail around the lake. Kayak launch and pavilion. Playground for the kiddos. I wish they had more dog waste stations.

Great place for an easy 1.3-mile walk around of peace and harmony. Bring a dog, bring yourself, bring your friends, or even bring some music. Great place to relax , hang out, and enjoy the scenery.

This park is so nice. It has a picnic and playground as well as a nice and paved trail around the lake that is 1.3 miles, and a natural Preserve Trail that is 1 mile around. Oth trails are very clean. The lake trail is mire popular and busy. Its probably because it's paved and open, while the preserve trail is better for dog walkers or someone just wants some peace and quiet.

Not sure if it's brackish water or fresh. But you do need to be careful as it can make your dog very sick
I dont think so, but im sure one could stumble upon the lake and make it their home...but I haven't seen one in there though...people swim in there all the time so more than likely not.
They started opening the gates at 7:30 because of vandalism there during the night. This started about 2 months ago.
