Beautiful hike, but do not underestimate it! Make sure you have proper footwear and water. The hike is definitely steep and not easy. It takes you to the Wisdom Tree, and then you can keep following it to the Hollywood Sign. The trial head starts at the end of Wonder View Drive, however you can not park here. There is parking available at the top of Lake Hollywood Drive.

Really enjoyed the Burbank peak trail, it's a much more difficult climb than I anticipated. I planned on doing the second half Aileen trail to the sign but due to the heat (weirdly warm for April) only made it to the Wisdom tree. The trail is steep and rocky. IMO You need Hiking shoes or boots, something with a rubber tread. I saw a few people in gym type sneakers but those must be so slippery. The path down without proper shoes could be precarious.

One of my favourite things to do in L.A.! Difficult-ish hike as it's mostly uphill and the path is narrow and rocky in areas, however it's 100% worth it - the views were simply breathtaking. You can see over both the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles Basin. Great views from the Wisdom Tree and from behind the Hollywood sign. Hiked the rest of the way to Griffith Observatory and it took around 3 hours. Bring plenty of water as there aren't any refill spots on the way. Not much shade either so sunscreen is a must.

What an amazing trail with wonderful views! Be ready to climb because it's definitely not a stroll in a park! ;) You'll get a great workout and it's definitely worth it! The terrain is very rocky and sandy, not a lot of shade so be careful and bring a lot of water if you do it on a hot summer day. We did this hike with our two kids 6&8 and they did much better than me. Lol We chose to come down by following the road because it was getting dark, which was a much longer way but it was safer.

First intersection turn left on to Lake Hollywood Drive. That is correct there is no parking there between the hours of 9pm and 6am.
On lake hollywood blvd. Probably .3 miles from the trailhead
It is open but you need to wear a mask in order to enter the trail. There's a Park Ranger waiting at the entrance so don't forget to bring your mask.
Yes but you'll have to walk. It's on a street next to a lake.
The road leading up to the trail has no sidewalk, you have to park on Lake Hollywood & Wonderview and walk up this road (beware of cars), then step around the pipe gate where the road's blocked. You would have to lift the stroller up over the curb and get it around the side of the gate. The pavement ends about fifty feet past the gate, then it's gravel. You could still be able to take a stroller to where the road ends and look at the view, though it's a bit bumpy. (The road actually continues to the left but has another gate, and the pedestrian opening to the left side is probably too tight for a stroller. Plus, the road is washed out about a half mile down, and is hazardous at that point.) Make your own decision about the stroller.
