We stop here every time we are in San Diego! Sunrise to sunset I love this place! Great area to walk and enjoy the beach. Clean. Always busy. Always wonderful. Watching the surfers an added bonus. Seems to be a popular location.

Beautiful spot to kayak. Caves nearby to explore on low tide. Lots of friendly helpful surfers. Julian, thanks for helping us launch over the waves!

We went on a Friday. Very clean beach and not too crowded. I like that there us always a lifeguard on duty. My family had a great afternoon!

La Jolla is my favorite beach in San Diego!! The sandstone cliffs and crystal clear- turquoise water are spectacular!! The sea lions are always fun to watch here, and the shopping and dining is amazing! Everything you could want in one section of the county for a wonderful day out. Weather is perfect also! Check out the park near the beach- plenty of room for everyone!

It is a trendy place. I would recommend getting there as early as possible.
Yes. They have hot coal dumps available too. I know of now restrictions
Yes.
You have to wear a mask in the shower. 😂🤣 Just kidding
Not on the sand. However, there is a huge, grassy picnic area up above the boardwalk. A lot of beachgoers utilize this area for bbq's, Easy-up, etc. Assuming you have the stand alone type hammock. Not the tree tied type. Although there are some trees. Just not certain if they are close enough together for this leisure type event. Also, arriving early is key.
It was free to park, but I think you can only park until 10pm. You can park on the street as well.
No you need to see them on the other side of the cove.
I am not sure. I have only been during the day.
More parking is needed for sure, but I don't know how that would be possible without destroying the neighborhood views of the beach.
No.
I believe the parking lot has restricted overnight hours.
After summer the beach dog leash law are as follow Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach, boardwalk or adjacent parks between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. from April 1 through Oct. 31. At all other hours, dogs must be on a leash. ... Dogs are allowed at Dog Beach (adjacent to Ocean Beach) and Fiesta Island (in Mission Bay).
There are couple of shops u can rent diving eqipments.
There are poles but you need to bring your own net
Yes, I saw grills there while I was visiting there.
Just a few miles north is the largest nude beach in the world. Sun your buns & everything else.
Yes if you can find them
No. Parking lots gets cleared out and locked about 10. Technically you cant sleep there, but you can be there if ya know what i mean.
Packed.. find parking in surrounding neighborhoods but you will have a bit of a walk.
I'm not sure, but parking is difficult nearby you should get there early in the day
There are shops nearby that rent gear. I know for sure kayaks and paddleboats, but I would guess surfboards and whatever else you might want too. Sometimes, people set up on the beach and either lend out surfboards (one guy does every Saturday) and maybe rent.
