It was fantastic. This was my first hiking experience and I loved it. It is quite long 2 miles to the cascade and 2 miles back but it is worth it! Hope to go there again soon :)

Loved the trails here, one that would be considered easy hiking and the other side that's a bit more mild to moderate if you're one to keep moving. Great views all around and the falls were beautiful. Also a good restroom setup while also having plenty of picnic areas to fuel up before or after the venture...whole family enjoyed!!

Great hike moderate to hard depending on which trail you take. There's two trails upper (which is on the left side going up) and the lower trail. The lower has a lot of steps climb going to the falls making it more difficult (depending on your age), but you're closer to the water most of the trek. We went the lower up which was difficult for us being in our late 60's. We came back on the upper trail which was a lot easier.

Enjoyed walking up the scenic Lower Falls trail and taking pics. Then arriving at the main falls was glorious! Plenty of vantage points for photo ops with the main falls and room to sit and ponder. Come early to avoid the crowds. We arrived at 10 and didn't encounter many other people until we were walking back down (on the upper falls trail).

Two miles from the parking lot to the falls.
No. It's 2 miles out and 2 miles back.
It is very chilly. The current hasnt been noticeable the times I've been, so not sure about that. The falls don't hit the hole directly, they run down the rocks to it. It is VERY slippery, and deep.
There are two trails to the falls. The "lower" Trail stays close to the stream and crosses it via a couple footbridges. It is the more scenic of the two, but it is winding and a little rocky in places. It's potentially slippery in places as well. The other trail is farther from the stream, straighter, wider, and more steadily and gradually uphill. The upper trail is/was essentially a vehicle access road. I'm not sure most people would describe either as easy. Moderate maybe.
I did this trail this past January on a chilly rainy morning and the trail was still stunning. If I'm ever back in this neck of the I will most definitely do this trail again.
