My family member describes the place as a prison. Residents have to get permission to leave their rooms and are not allowed to go outside. Says there is little to no privacy. Rooms are so small with 2 people residing in it. So sad to see this! No outdoor activities offered and they blame covid for all their mishaps. Putting someone in a nursing home should not be compared to putting someone in prison but that is what they feel. This is not how our elderly should spend their last days! This could be us someday! Things need to change! I don't want a generic reply from the director! I want the lives of our elderly to be monitored and to be happy!!!

My Grandmother is currently staying at Alderwood Manor for rehab after a major pneumonia episode and I can not express our gratitude as a family! The last four weeks before she was taken to Alderwood had been an absolute rollercoaster of worry and stress. We spent two weeks under poor care. We ended up at Sacred Heart after my Grandma's pneumonia came back while under the care of multicare providers. As a Providence provider Sacred Heart, from the moment we arrived, provide phenomenal care...care we did not see weeks prior at multicare facilities. Sacred heart kept my Grandmother until she had a full recovery before sending her to Alderwood Manor. There was complete communication between her personal doctor's and our family. From there we moved her to Alderwood. Alderwood has done nothing but blow our expectations away with how well they have cared for my Grandma! They are willing to listen and take their time with not only the patients but the families as well! I can not explain how amazing they are! We have been so blessed to have them in our time of need! My Grandma has had a complete turn around under their care! Thank you so much to both the Sacred Heart staff and more so the Alderwood Manor staff, you have no idea what you have done for my whole family!!

I was recently discharged to Alderwood Manor from SHMC. I suffered a heart problem shortly after my admission to Alderwood. My heart rate was varying between 180 and 220. The staff at Alderwood Manor said my condition was fine. I had to get angry and insist that they call a doctor. When the paramedics arrived they considered my condition life threatening and grave, and they rushed me to the hospital. I could have died due to the lack of correct action by Alderwood Manor. Their lack of medical knowledge could have cost me my life. I would advise people to locate a highly rated facility. Do not go to Alderwood Manor.
