I tried to get a technical advice from them twice. They completely ignored my requests. First time I called and a woman answered. She took my number because a weapon tech wasn't available to answer my questions. No callback ever received. Second time, knowing that calling them is useless, I emailed my question. No reply ever received. I truly believe now that if I need any help from them supporting their product, I will be thoroughly screwed. Gun is nice, but if anything goes wrong with it then what?

Fit & finish is every bit as good as Colt or any of the other so-called higher end manufacturers. I recently purchased the M16A2 upper and I am extremely impressed with the fit and finish having carried and used a Colt day & night in the Army for 4 years and so I know where to find any hidden problem areas. I stripped it down to clean and oil it and every part’s fit and finish was perfect. Windham Weaponry really does care about their quality and their finished product shows it. I would gladly buy from them again.

I have a Windham weaponry r20gvta4s-7, the government model 20 inch M16a2. The companys attention to quality control is evident and what makes me a happy customer, and its very accurate. As nice or nicer than Colt. Regards Shooter

Stopped in today to pick up a simple 5.56 rifle. All of the employees were super friendly and informative. John (hope I am remembering the name correctly) took care of my sale. Paperwork went quickly, rifle selection was fast with no hard sell or pushy salesmanship. Rifle, 150 round box of ammo and case with a 15m fed check and I was out the door. Reasonable price and great service. Can't ask for anything more, and god bless the local craftsmanship here in Maine. Couldn't be happier. Cheers to management for having and retaining such quality staff.

There has been much debate on this as well as the interchange ability of the 5.56 & 223 Remington. Long story short yes you can shoot the 7.62x51 in the 308 Winchester, but it is not recommended to fire the 308 Winchester in a 7.62x51 NATO chamber for the same reason as not firing the 5.56x45 NATO in the 223 Remington chamber (they are opposite each other) as there is a potential of an over chamber pressure issue. To recap: 7.62 NATO in 308 Winchester or 223 Remington in 5.56 NATO is safe. 308 Winchester in 7.62 NATO or 5.56 NATO in 223 Remington is NOT safe
Currently we do not offer engraving. Call us on Monday and we can provide a recommendation.
https://www.premiumwooddesigns.com/M_16_Gun_p/pwdm16.htm If you paint the receiver and barrel black, this would be a fairly cheap option. If you want to look for other options, Google M16A1 wood replica. (If this answer is deleted due to the link please leave the last sentence)
I think you have to purchase them at Windham weaponry location
