My parents take their vehicle here so I gave it a try. From the first phone call they were friendly and helpful. Made an appt for an inspection, an oil change and a general checkup. All maintenance was performed as promised and within the time it was promised. Best part was the very reasonable price!! That's a lie. The best part was the friendly service!! Think I'll keep my old car just so I can go back.

I’ve had a interesting experience over all. They definitely do good work here but here’s the story: I got stuck in a situation where my car had already been towed here and they were aware that I used my last free AAA tow to get the vehicle there and I was kinda stuck. They charged 40% higher than I was quoted pretty much anywhere else. Even slightly higher than the dealership would have charged. But the cost of getting a new same-day tow was going to bring up the cost and add additional logistical issues. The job was in the $700 range and the gentleman who sold me the car covered the costs because he felt bad about the situation. Then They raised the cost. so I was stuck paying the difference on top. Apparently some how I supposedly left the lot having paid $50 less than I was supposed to for the additional charges and they have called me at least once a month for a year now. I’m almost positive that I already paid the $50 supposed debt but they just called me again and I paid the $50 again. I’m posting this here so that If I get another call demanding $50 again I can use this a reference for the date that I paid and I can reference my bank statement. The work they did was very good and successful and efficient. The work is still solid to this day no issues with the job they did at all. It was just an ugly process.

Sad to have to do this when my original review was going to be nothing but praise. Car overheated and I got it towed to Sebago Lake Automotive as they were the closest AAA approved mechanic. I was originally told that they may not be able to even look at the car for at least two days. I left the car with them anyway. We left it at they would call me before they did any work to let me know the issue and how much it would cost... standard protocol, right? I got a call a couple of hours later stating that the job had been done. They thought it was something else but it turned out it was much simpler than they had anticipated. Hose clamp had rotted out. Naturally I am thrilled because it was done in the same day (when I had anticipated it might be a few days), and when they say it’s something simpler than they thought, and they went ahead and did the work without first calling me to confirm, I’m thinking it was probably pretty inexpensive as well. Wrong! Parts total Including the coolant and the clamp is $21.19. Labor is $209.62… And that’s after my $27.57 discount from AAA. So I pay it because naturally, the work was done and here I am in shock… Don’t know what else to do really. However after checking with two local mechanics, and a few male friends who are familiar with automotive related things, I realized that I was grossly overcharged and basically left to feel as thought I had been taken advantage of. I did call the shop back to get an explanation and see if there was some type of error. They went on to explain that it was no mistake. When I asked them what their hourly rate is, I was told it is $108 per hour. OK, so that’s more than what I normally pay for labor at my local mechanic. Doing the math it must’ve taken them about two full hours to change a hose clamp? Apparently anyone who knows anything about cars knows that this is inaccurate. Thus, I would stay away from this place.
