One of the best views around with the least amount of work required. Very well maintained parking area and information signs. Bonus, saw a moose cross the road 3 minutes away.

Oquossoc and Rangeley are your best best. Coos Canyon Rock and Gifts has ice cream and light fare (hot dogs, subs) and a nice outdoor picnic area, too. I believe Kawahnee Inn and Restaurant in Weld has a view. Kid friendly? Well, your best bet outdoors! Most of the restaurants in Rangeley and Oquossoc have kid menus but cater mostly to adults.
No overnight parking unless you are in your vehicle
