Was great when I first moved in, then slowly I started noticing the problems. Elevators weren’t working right, mailboxes being broken into even though there’s a security guard working at night. Started having a roach problem, and when I went to tell them and got signed up for an apartment spray I noticed several other tenants were having the same problem. Didn’t help the entire building is infested, saw them in the washer and dryer on the second floor. Dryers don’t even dry the clothes all the way, wasted so much money on them. Was harassed for noise complaints for a dog that wasn’t even the problem, had a camera set up. Was home when they did the last noise complaint telling them I was home so I know it wasn’t my dog. Rude rental managers. The only one I liked and was nice was Jorge, I was always glad he was there when I would need to talk to someone. My year there couldn’t go fast enough.

I absolutely HATE this building . I used love living here when it was AVA but ever since it switched over to LIT . It’s been horrible . The laundry machines barely dry your clothing just eating your money . The pool is DISGUSTING. They never clean it , looks murky and has dirt in the pool. And don’t even get me started on the construction they are doing in the other units . if you work hard and finally get to sleep in on your day off . FORGET ABOUT IT ! Expect to be woken up by hammering first thing bright and early at 8am ! Also my bathroom ceiling leaks water sometimes and their solution is to just cover it as a pose to fixing the root of the problem ? I’ve recorded everytime my ceiling leaks on different days to show that covering it won’t do anything but cause mold ! They charging almost 2,000 for a studio & for what!? To be miserable, I can’t WAIT to leave .

Terrible place. I regret renewing my lease when the new owners took over. They hire other companies to be in charge of different services (parking, laundry equipment, utility billing, etc) so they won’t take responsibility when issues appear. When there’s a problem the leasing office is no help. They just redirect you to a number to the direct contractor or tell you they have no answers for you. If they don’t even try to resolve the Issues you bring up to them, what are they actually there to do then? Just collect the rent? At least the previous leasing office would address the issues when the tenants brought them up and would even give us credit towards our rent for certain inconveniences. Washers and dryers in the building are malfunctioning? Don’t let the leasing office know its not their job. It’s your job to find a number on it and call. Mail box issues. You can’t even receive your mail. You have to pick it up at the post office.

We were supposed to move in to AVA last Saturday, 3/6, but our apartment flooded! We're originally from the east coast and have been working hard to make a life for ourselves in San Diego. It hasn't been easy over the past month and we were bummed that we weren't able to have the space quite yet. Thankfully, our awesome leasing manager, Sara was really helpful and communicative through the process. The apartment put us in a hotel last week and we got to move in this past weekend. The service here has been incredibly responsive and friendly - wouldn't change a thing.

As far as tenants tell me theres only washing facilities on certian floors. And a large washroom on the third floor. To use them there is a card you have to refil certian amounts. The cost varies with drying and washing. Sorry if not helpful. I work at the Cortez hill market. Call AVA and ask for Sheri or Mariah awesome office managers.
