We are supposed to pay within the first three business days of the month. On the first business day of the month we went to our account. The amount due was very small. As this is our last month of living here, we didn’t think to call and check as 1) we thought they applied our deposit to our last month or that we had prepaid when we moved in and forgot about it 2) it is not our responsibility to bill us correctly. Today, the 19th we get a call and email saying they just noticed that we haven’t paid, threatening us with a 3 day notice if we don’t pay by 3PM (when our move out date btw is in 4 days anyway), telling us that this late payment is now on our record, and charged us a late fee. We’ve always paid on time and this..Added so much stress to an already stressful time and in the middle of the work day. We paid the new amount we got charged of course and are waiting to see if they return the late fee. Update they blamed it on us saying they update the 1st at midnight even though we paid the 1st during the day, so after midnight. Do what you will with that information. So many other issues with living here that I don’t have the energy to write out. Just really happy to finally move. My husband and I do not recommend living here.

The worst management. I had applied for an apartment nearly 3 weeks ago and then I withdrew my application within 24 hrs as they don’t have guest parking at all. They said I would get my deposit amount (800$) back in two weeks time. I still haven’t received it. You have to beg to get your own money back. And it’s not a small amount! People who want to apply please be aware of this!

This place has a reasonable price and reasonable quality. I lived here with my wife (Devi) and child here for 18 months till I move out of California for new job. They are friendly and receptive to customers. Only things this apartment needs is a few more hydraulics gym equipments. The location is very advantageous.

The price is good, but their customer service is not very good at seeing from the perspective of the customer. I will say I was also at fault because I have social anxiety and when they said they would give back the deposit and not the application fee, I said it was fine, but everything was not fine. Over email I tried to get back the application fee but they would not give it back. So let me explain further, when you are picking an apartment online, they give you the date, and you can change the date. I am a student, so I need exactly 10 months starting from September. There was a unit available for August, but on the side, you can choose when to start the date, and of course, I choose September. When I applied, I was notified there would be an application fee of $35 per person, and I applied for both me and my partner, so I paid $70 in application fee, along with the deposit. There was a summary of the transaction to the left when I paid, and it says the move in date is for September 1, for a 10 month lease, for the price that it was. I paid thinking everything was good because the terms are easy to understand. It is simple. A few days later they messaged me (kind of rudely too, no apology(although later they 'apologized for the misconception' but I still did not get the application fee back), made it seem like it was my fault for changing the date) that the date was set for August and I can't change it. When I paid, the date said September because the system allowed me to choose it. I don't think it was my fault for paying what I thought would be starting in September. They gave me the offer that I start in August or they could refund the deposit, but not the application fee. I don't understand why not the application fee too because their website messed up and allowed me to sign believing the date starts in September. They did say they would try to hold another apartment for me starting later august, although I couldn't have this one, but they said it wasn't guaranteed. That was good customer service on their part. What I have a problem with is the online application will say the wrong date and they do not refund you the application fee. This is nothing wrong on the customer for believing the date they picked is available. When I called they explained that if they moved the date to September they loose a month's of rent, which is understandable, but I knew this. The problem is not them losing a month's rent but the way they handle it, not refunding the application fee for something that went wrong on their end, and making it feel like it is the customer's fault for changing the wrong date when their website allows it to happen so the customer doesn't know what they are really signing up for. Update: They apologized and sent back the application fee too.
