Leisha was the epitome of what an apartment manager should be. She was very courteous and very professional. I have tremendous respect for her abilities and the fact that she treated me, a Deaf man with the ultimate courtesy and helped me to understand things. I wish more people would follow her example and be at one with everything. The apartment itself was very clean and the maintenance of it was beyond the scope of what most apartments would experience. I would recommend it absolutely.

I am visiting my friend who lives here. If you are a person who doesn't like to hear your neighbors, or you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. It's very noisy...you constantly hear people talking, you hear every footstep of people walking down the hall, you can hear people moving around in their apartments, doors shutting, music playing, etc. It's very, very noisy.

I'm surprised there aren't any reviews on Google, so I'm going to go ahead and give an honest yet humble one for the Commons. I moved in here 2 1/2 years ago after my life had a very positive turnaround. Shannon was originally the manager here and she was absolutely fantastic. Sweet, earnest, and always had the door open, she was willing to help anyone. The Commons have gone through a few management changes and currently everything's pretty good. Our last guy was terrible and it's been refreshing. We have the BEST maintenance, particularly for a bustling facility. I'm still baffled one man can do it all. However, I've only had two - count them two - issues requiring maintenance and both were clogs. Nothing terrible although I couldn't resolve them myself. Small quarters are going to have these problems inevitably. I never hear anyone to the sides of my apartment. I live semi-underground, so my bills are insanely cheap. it's truly an efficiency: I paid 40 bucks every month for gas and the radiator takes very little electricity. My electric bill has never been over 25 bucks in the efficiency. Being semi-under also meant I used my air conditioner a matter of maybe 3-4 days in the summer. I do hear people higher than me using their more often, however. The radiator does clang and there's nothing to be done about that. However, it slowly became comforting? It was the signal the heat was coming. The location is great, everyone's pretty nice or quiet, and at worst you will hear people above you. Luckily I haven't had more than little bits here and there, but this last tenant at first sounded like a flat-footed sumo wrestler playing DDR. It's been a lot better, though. My packages were never stolen and I never had a car break in. These things CAN happen, but you will have this pretty much anywhere. There's a bit of guest parking and the side streets don't enforce permit parking at this time. Live here if you can stand small spaces and especially if you can get a bottom-floor apartment and would like it. It's worth it. The price has gone up since I moved in, but my rent only increased by 10 bucks a year. That's incredible. Again, you can't have the guarantee it will remain that way, but since I was a good tenant I'm pretty sure it didn't hurt. Thanks, Clintonville Commons. You made my transition back to Columbus that much better.
