Had to stay in NGIS for work, but it wasn't really as bad as I had read in previous reviews. I've stayed in a few NGIS locations across the US, and this one is the the worst, unless you get the old rooms with no A/C and no Heat. (Coworker got that, even we were prereserved for other rooms, which were empty next to me). There is a really good view of the bay from the back side of NGIS, borh day amd night. And it is only 10 minutes from downtown. Plus there are good restaurants near Point Loma itself. If you are authorized, come stay a few nights and see for yourself.

For retired or navy families. Stay on a training base or camp. Kind, respectful and clean.

On the oceanfront wake up to the sound and go to sleep to the sound of the ocean I don't care about going anywhere I like laying and listen to the ocean sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean view it's very relaxation I went there for relaxing and I moved here so I enjoyed it's nice to have a place to stay until my apartment and get ready and I like to go back once a month just for the relaxation of the ocean for the motion with the smile

Don't expect fancy, but the lodging price is good and the location is great. Also the reception staff is nice. There's no food on the premises. You need a military ID or DOD ID to get onto this property.
