Came from out of town and this is a LYS with big heart. The lady was helpful finding a suitable yarn for my project and looked up Ravelry with me to check that yarn had been used. I left with some shepherd’s wool that I had not heard about before coming !

Pearl Fiber Arts is a wonderful, friendly yarn shop full of lovely yarn. When you walk through the door, the owner, Cindy, will give you a cheerful greeting and be ready to offer help with anything you might need. The inventory in the shop is marvelous. There is a broad selection of yarn, commercially produced yarn as well as an excellent selection yarns produced by local independent spinners and dyers, all very worthy of heirloom projects. The tool selection is also extensive. There is a wide selection of needles; straight, circular, and double point. There are plenty of notions to choose from that help make any project easier to knit (or crochet!) and the finished item a pleasure to wear! I always enjoy shopping at Pearl Fiber Arts! These days, unfortunately, I have fewer opportunities to drop into this lovely store because I have moved to Albany, south of Salem. Whenever I am in Portland, though, I make a point of visiting Pearl Fiber Arts! It worth making a destination while you are in Portland. 🧶🐑🦙🐇➰➿ s1 k2tog psso

This is a small store, as yarn stores in Portland go, but the service absolutely makes up for it. More than once this has been my go-to spot when I forgot needles or a project while I was heading out of town, and the owner is kind and helpful. They've got a nice selection of local indy dyers on a variety of bases, which makes it a good souvenir yarn stop while you're visiting Portland!

Staff was very friendly and happy to be there with helpful answers to questions. The yarn was lovely and they had a good selection of colors and weights. They also had a good amount of pins and other odds and ends. They were definitely ready for the yarn crawl with extra help and excitement was in the air. Overall, it was a lovely shop that I will definitely have to visit again after the 2019 Rose City Yarn Crawl is over.

No, we don't carry Acadia. The closest shop that does is probably Close Knit up on NE Alberta. About half our shop is locally hand-dyed yarns. :)
Hi, Laura. We can connect you to a spinning instructor for private lessons. Just give us a call or send an email and we’ll be happy to help. 🙂
Just seeing this. Not sure when you left it! :) We don't currently have that color in stock, but can get it. Just give a call or send email if you want us to order it for you.
