The Lovely Lemon! If anyone ever asks where to buy a cake in Portland I tell them- The Cakery! Don’t waste your time on any other cake! And just to make it very clear I’m a professional baker!

The Cakery and Baker and Spice are owned by the same company and both are exceptional! We ordered our wedding cakes from The Cakery and have gotten all of our birthday, Mother’s Day, etc. cakes from here since. All are truly delicious! I should note that while we ordered cakes for our wedding here, they weren’t technically “wedding cakes” - ie they were about 1/5 the price of bakeries that offer wedding cakes and 10x more delicious. For tastings, we ordered several individual slices which they kindly accommodated with a few days of notice. I think they have slices available all days, but if there is a specific cake you want to try it’s best to call ahead to make sure it’s available on the day you’d like your slice. The inside of the store is also very nice. There are some adorable cake candles and cards, as well as baking accessories. I feel very fortunate to have this establishment in Hillsdale. It is one I would gladly trek across town to visit!

We don't have wifi here at the bakery but there is availability through other stores in our area.
Hi Eva- Yes you could use Rhubarb for our teacake, we are currently using it in ours right now. We do make a compote with our Rhubarb before adding it to the teacake. That involves macerating rhubarb in sugar, simmering until al dente, straining out the fruit, cooking down the syrup a bit further and then mixing the fruit back into the syrup. Enjoy!
Well I'm fairly certain that they get a notification, and in the year 2017, you'd think that their community manager/owner would be on top of their GOOGLE.
