White Eagle gives McMenamins a bad name. Yes, their food and drinks are great. The atmosphere and vibe are what you expect when you enter a McMenamins. Here is the reality, The White Eagle is a few blocks from the top trauma hospital in Oregon. People walk in there to escape the trauma they are dealing with in their everyday life. The staff at the White Eagle need to be mindful of the stresses that people might be dealing with when they walk in. Did their loved one just pass? Are they here as they struggle with the decisions they face when they walk out the door, seeking a brief moment of normalcy? When a customer walks in, states they are on a tight time limit, just wants a brief escape from the trauma they are dealing with they don’t want to be harassed 6 times in the space of an hour if they are there for the “show” and it’s $10.00 if you are there after the show starts. The White Eagle is one of the VERY FEW places near this hospital! Show some compassion, consider where you are located ! DO BETTER !!!

I’m a huge fan of McMenamins but tonight’s visit after a long hospital shift was a horrible decision. $29 for their four tiny chicken strip dinner $18.75 that consisted of soggy, limp fries and soggy coleslaw, it was putrid. I also order a sangria for $10.50 that consisted of a mini cup of ice with a single shot of red wine and two thin sliced orange peels. I LITERALLY got two sips from the sangria and the drink was done, but still a full cup of ice to chew on. My coworkers and I will be finding somewhere else to go to. I feel so RIPPED OFF! RUN! 🤢👎🤦🏻♀️

Great location and vibe but as usual, McMenamins staff is super slow and unfocused. Regulars are raving about how good the bartender is while the rest of the customers are watching the staff stand around talking to each other.

My partner and I visited the bar on an evening when they had a live band, such a fun experience after being locked down for the last two years. The bartenders were so great! I don't know much about alcohol, and the bartenders took my preferences and made me such great drinks! We will definitely be back.

Yes, kids are absolutely welcome, until 8pm, and then we switch to bar service / 21+. Often on Sundays we will even have earlier shows (2 or 4pm) which many families like to attend. You should come check us out!
It's about a 15 minute walk or a very short drive.
